Wullie
The players are falling for the same trap as a lot of supporters: that there can only be one game a week and if you're scheduled to play two, you have to throw one of them.
Ronaldo
Me personally I'd pull the trigger as soon as the last whistle blows at the end of this season. Try not to make a mess.

I guess we will see on Thursday if that's true. Personally I would be shocked I we are playing any better then.

You wonder what some of the new players are thinking, they look like all of the positivity has been sucked out of them already.
Wullie
Absolutely. Giving Pardew the opportunity to coach them and instil his negative values has been a massive mistake. Gouffran and Sissoko, you wouldn't believe it was the same humans as two months ago.
Guest Dontooner
tbh at the current form, think we will go on to lose badly thursday and Pardew will start mumbling about scrambling to safety was always 1st priority. Putting hopes on Pardew is like hoping the Cyprus government might do a U turn and wont take 60% of your deposit money in banks. Its a lost cause. Chizzletooth
Pardew's been abysmal this season, no question. But all this "greatest squad since Bobby"... im less sure of, reckon some of our players are overrated on here. Most of our players have major deficiencies. Krul can't kick. Santon can't defend. Tiote gets caught on the ball. Ben Arfa is always injured. Marveaux is hit and miss. Cisse doesn't understand offside. Cabaye gets depressed. And thats our good players. In conclusion, everything is bad.
Disco
Was badly let down by a number of players today. The whole midfield played like they couldn't have given less of a fuck for the most part which is inexcusable, whether he told them to take it easy I don't know but if he did he's reaped what he sowed because you can't do that against Man City. That was clearly the instruction imo, so much so that it was very predictable. Our intent was to give them the ball as much as possible and try and limit what they could do with it. No way in the world was he let down by the players. He got what he asked for.
Big Geordie
Pardew on Radio Newcastle now; Too many good players missing No excuses No pressure on Man Citeh today Side unbalanced - James Perch on a yellow - Jonas not a left back Should be stronger for Benfica/Fulham Big lesson today - not good enough retaining possession and no pressing on the ball. Should say : I am a fraud I am clueless to how to make teams play a team game Only good a picking teams on paper and hoping they turn up Without my best 11, i will never reach my true potential Don't ask me about set pieces and some of my current bad records , they don't exsist...putting my hands over my ears now. Incognito
I'm not too concerned with today. Thursday is the important fixture of this week. It's probably the way the players look at it too. Next Sunday is a far more important game imo.

Typical same old salesman bull shit from Pardew, tell the fans what he thinks they want to hear yet he has no intention or the ability to change what he just told us. Guest Howaythetoon
Worse manager than Souness. If we start next season with this idiot in charge we are going to have another fuck up of a season. Assuming we stay up of course which I now fear we may not do. We'll be out of Euorpe by the time the mackem game comes around so lose that and...
