he need to be sacked.

No he doesn't.

He actually got us playing well at times in the last months and we started getting results again.

Thing is, he's very focused now on the Europa League and, who can blame him? It's a great chance we have to bring a trophy to SJP finally after all those years.

No-one will care if we survive by 1 single point in the league but won the Europa League.

Thing also is, that we have two very winnable home games now in a row that should see us getting 6 points and therefore bing absolutely safe.

We still haven't been playing that well though. He still hasn't addressed the issue of service to whoever our centre forward is on any given day. It's been a problem all season and not one he looks like he knows how to resolve.

The lack of service for Cisse is something I'd totally agree with.

Still, to say he should be sacked after losing at the Etihad is over the top. Especially not when you know that he's concentrating on the Euro League and (it seems) on the winnable games in the league.

We've haven't had a better squad since Bobby's days, but we're yet to produce a good game all season.

Incredible.

We are absolutely stuck with this joker. We can hope for sense to prevail and a managerial switch in the summer. But it is never going to happen.

Provided we survive, next season will be another mixed bag of results at best. Without the distraction of Europe we might finish top half and pardew will get another year. That is being uber optimistic because the football we have apparently player is fad from premiership or supporter worthy.

Some managers mature tactically with time.. The free flowing attractive football Pardews early sides played is a far cry from what we get lumped with. He might be a better and wiser man manager but tactically he has become delusional.

We set up to fail everytime and the negative tactics rub off on our players. Every person on that pitch got into football from enjoying playing and watching football. 11 of the players on that pitch today obviously still get to do that everyday. The others have to go against all that is natural to them, in turn they get to look like the cowards their manager is coaching them to be.

He should rightfully be gone at the end of the season, I have no idea what people think is going to happen if we sack him now though. It's a massive gamble in itself.

I agree unfortunately, need to stick with him until then and hope to fuck we stay up.

In a season where he had to field 31 different players, which is the most of all in the league - which just shows how bad our injury situation has been throughout the season.

I'm not even going into his ability or lack of ability.

It's just strange that every team we play against including minnows all seem to play good football when we play against them.

That tells you everything about his style of management, over cautious, turtle in a shell mentality of football .  It's bearable at best when it yields results.

I'm going to say he deserves to be sacked because the team is shit and punching well below it's weight. We're 3 points off the the drop with 7 games to go. Is that fair?

Needs to go at the end of the season if someone better is willing to take the job, which is unlikely.

Why is it unlikely?

For the same reason our last 4 managers have been Pardew, Hughton, Shearer and Kinnear.

Rubbish we had two winnable home games against Swansea and West Ham also - poor manager with the best squad of players this club has had in ten years and we're still in a relegation battle. For every Chelsea there have been a Swansea, Stoke, Wigan and we did not play that well against Southampton or Villa either. His negative tactics puts us on the back foot ever single game and an average of 0.5 points per way game is frankly a disgrace!!!!

Look at how our squad has evolved since Pardew's tenure as manager though. No reason to say that the same can't happen with future managers. The ability of the squad has outgrew him massively, it's as simple as that.

Beggars belief this like. Our recruitment is the envy of the all the teams in the league that aren't mega rich. We absolutely could attract a better  manager than Alan Pardew man, without a doubt.

I've no faith in this lot whatsoever to bring in anyone up to the job.
