Newcastle United 3 - 0 Wigan - 03/12/12 - post-match reaction from page 41

That was Ba's fault, Cisse stopped his run and was waiting for Ba to level with him.

He was offside for ages, man

What the fuck did you want him to do? run back towards the half way line? or for Ba to just take one more step forward?

Angle his run, he was offside to start with so to keep a yard ahead of the last defender really isn't going to help

How was that Cissé's fault, man?

Both of them are to blame tbf, Cisse's run was s**** and Ba should have carried it forward more and make sure Cisse was behind the ball.

Ba's not responsible for where Cisse is ffs.

You don't pass to someone who's clearly offside, you keep going and wait until they get themselves back onside

In this case you would have expected Cisse to be able to get back onside. Yes, that means stop running or even wandering back a yard or so if needs be. Zero intelligence in that run from Papiss.

The pass wasn't there for much longer, Cisse should've dropped onside before that.

Ba would have got to The Trent by the time Cisse got himself back onside

All took place a bit quick, ba released the ball as he was injured and couldn't run it forward a bit more, Cisse was already in an advanced postion to begin with.

Aww fuck it, a slightly miss timed pass being over analysed.

Well I really enjoyed that. Shame about the injuries, or possible ones, but 3 massive points and some actual positives all round. It's easy to focus on the negatives, think for once we fuck it off and concentrate fully on the positives, those are the things that'll turn it around.
