Tbh taken into account cost of living, especially house prices, that'll be less than what we are offering him.

Think it would have to be a big difference to sway him, £100k and he'll go there.

Packed journal tomorrow... Latest on Remy & transfers for #nufc - plus big Debuchy interview....

So basically just saying we are or are not interested in Remy and a re-hash of his interview everyone has already seen?

QPR are really desperate to be the next Portsmouth, like.

It's ironic that clubs like Pompey and QPR who splash the cash end up completely fucked but those who were a lot more tight/sensible have done a hell of a lot better.

The larger the amount of money the more twitchy pockets... why not.

As mentioned, if he turns us down for QPR and a bigger wage packet we are definitely better off finding someone else. Despite our current position we will be quite attractive to Remy. Still in Europe (although he is cup tied right?), great reputation in France and many compatriots to settle with.

What a rubbish article. They're simply speculating.

Newcastle have a salary ceiling of around £60,000-a-week for their top earners and Rangers will be able to offer a package in excess of that.

They already have players on around £80,000-a-week and with an offer set to be tabled this weekend, believe they can tempt Rémy to move to Loftus Road.

Factually inaccurate as well considering Coloccini's salary.

Not that I believe we'll necessarily pay new signings that kind of money, just saying.

Bloody hope not because honestly that interview means nothing i wouldn't expect him to say anything else in this situation....

Probably just:

- Pardew is interested in the player

- Player is 'said to be keen' on move

- Club aren't willing to go past their valuation

- Several teams monitoring the situation

- Something that won't be resolved anytime soon

- Club have drawn up a list of alternatives like [random Frenchie A] and [random Frenchie B]

Auclair was spot about Debuchy and often has a good idea of what's going on.

Should be interesting to see what happens.

Back in December Auclair said Debuchy wouldn't be coming in January.

Centre back has higher priority than a new winger/striker for me at the moment even though Ba has to be replaced.  Remy isn't young either.  If they ask for ridiculous money then just move on.

Turned 26 3 days ago. hardly an oap! and only 3 days outside of our so called strict policy which we broke for papiss & debuchy. But true we should'nt be paying much over £10 million for him if he's out of favour & out of form & there looking to get rid. this is one that will goto the last day as they'll be waiting to get the best offer for him & our track record suggests our offer won't be great compared to there valuation!

His first qualities are his runs and movements off the ball. He has a faculty of finding space forward that Ba can only dream about.

I don't think you loose your football in 6 months. He's a talent.

What I want to emphasize is Remy is a "speed merchant" whose game relies a lot on his pace.  Such kinda players tends to decline earlier than normal players.

Remy aged 32 with one leg missing would still be faster than Shola is now.

What must always be remembered with any potential purchase by NUFC is that they pay the whole sum up front - something sellers absolutely love.  We're probably just waiting for OM to find a replacement before we get our man as we speak.
