The good the bad and the ugly today. He was superb going forward, but awful at the other end, especially the first half. He improved massively in that respect in the second half to be fair. That said, when he has space and time he can do damage. Close him down or harass him, however, and he can look every inch a clueless player. He's very much a mood player. When in the mood unstoppable, when not, awful. There is no consistency with him and that's why he is at NUFC. Never a top tier CL player.

he made at least 5 of the goals happened, but to say he needs to be on the counter is wrong, we weren't countering for the opener, we just had so many players who were dangerous that he was allowed a little space. he gets crowded out when it used be just him who could cause problems

The cross for gini's 2nd was a delight. Didn't think he had that in him.

People are too busy talking about him running into blind alleys to notice, but he usually delivers a really good cross.

7/10 cost us 2, created 4

Bit harsh to say he cost us two, he was tracking one Norwich player and dragged into the centre for the 2nd..no way would he have got to the Norwich player crossing the ball in. Still, should have tried but Wijn is more to blame for the 2nd goal.

Played a part in 5 goals, yet only a 7/10.

Weirdly I didn't think it was too different to how he always plays. Just a couple more things came off today.

Yip. On another day Perez doesn't get the second bite at the cherry and the flag goes up when he's pffside for Gini's header and for all he's done exactly the same, it doesn't look like nearly as good a performance. It's a stat thing "had a hand in 5 goals".

Excellent going forwards today, but his lack of effort on the first goal was fucking criminal; completely gives up.

Agree with the above comment that he was only slightly better than usual and Norwich were just laughably bad at the back, like. How on earth Alex Neil hasn't lost an away game with them before today or whatever that stat was beggars belief.

A lot was made of that on the TV but I genuinely don't think he'd have caught Olsson anyway. He was already beaten.

Honestly man, this routine again.  He put 3 goals on a plate and was heavily involved in 2 others.  Everyone saying he had a much better game than normal is spot-on.
