Cajun
Can imagine that call "please don't pick up, please don't pick up, GET IN!! answering machine!". Fair play for apologising though, personally would have gone down the Wigan route, have Pardew claim there was nothing wrong, paint MYM as the victim and have Ashley tell his story of when he burnt his tongue on an apple pie but he doesn't blame McDonalds because that is just how it goes only for someone to then find numerous articles where he is slagging off McDonalds for making their apple pies too hot. AyeDubbleYoo
Had Nasri not got injured I don't think there would be any debate, 9 times out of 10 cynical challenges like that do not end up with a player getting injured certainly to the extent of Nasri. Think this is the most important point really.
Hughesy
I've watched this tackle again and again - it isn't a good tackle, but I don't understand how it could be more than a yellow. I think the last challenge is a poorly timed attempt to get the ball. I don't think he is trying to hurt Nasri, it's just a bad challenge.

Ronaldo
Wasn't a nice tackle but it's good to see he has some aggression in him.

Lotus
Guess the Man City fans have forgotten about De Jong on Ben Arfa. Wankers that they are.
Klaus
Dont think De jong gave/made an attempt at an apology either.
Kanj
Guess the Man City fans have forgotten about De Jong on Ben Arfa. w*****s that they are. Didn't Hatem forgive De Jong pretty quickly as well? Saying its football, etc? Don't recall the details exactly - like it actually matters. Hopefully France will benefit from having a more hard working less cunt of a player make the squad in his place.
geordiesteve710
Dont think De jong gave/made an attempt at an apology either. And the shithouse city fans backed him to the hilt on that one too.

alpal78
Dont think De jong gave/made an attempt at an apology either. Oh they remember alright. Some of them are saying that even the De Jong tackle was better because at least "he tried to get the ball", just went in a tad too strongly apparently! Tiresias
Good game I thought, should definitely displace Taylor at CB now Debuchy is back, will let us press higher for one.

nufc4eva
If Pardew drops him and leave Taylor in then I give up on football, such a waste having him on the bench
