Still Not Worthy Of A Thread

Peter Coates actually has very little to do with bet365, it's Denise who runs the show. They're the ideal club owners really - incredibly successful local business. They pay all their tax as well as they are still 100% based in the UK, unlike most other betting companies. Good on them.

Really, as you say most are overseas for tax reasons with Gibraltar the destination of choice for most.

Football fans were considered an underclass and not worthy of the normal duty of care the wider public experienced. For instance we would be packed onto trains without seats to away games despite paying normal prices. I've loads of stories from first hand of being hit by truncheons, pushed violently by police officers whilst simply walking to a ground. It was a different experience entirely to now.

I once took a flying kick right in the bollocks by a copper outside white hart lane for doing absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Anyone who'd been to Hillsborough in the eighties knew what had happened. Some ( most) police forces treat all football supporters as criminals and animals.

Please expand on this. Genuinely interested.

its spot on that statement btw.

went to Hillsborough one time mid 80s, went on normal bus service- not supporters coaches, getting off at Sheffield we were put in police vans, and literally herded into a giant pen at the back of the leppings lane end, this was the morning btw maybe 10am, we had done nothing wrong. we were held there with no food no drink no toilets until the gate to the match were opened.

sheff utd- 90 promotion game, stopped vans driving into Sheffield and escorted us all back to Durham, despite having tickets and no offence had been commited, other than maybe shouldn't carry people in vans.

Was also at that spurs game- 87,got separated from my dad, I watched the game from the top of a fence as there was no room on the terracing.

I remember that pen behind the leppings lane end. they kept people herded in there until the supporters club coaches arrived and the turnstiles opened.

South Yorks police mid 80's were horrible as were West Midlands.

"But Mrs Taylor accused the woman of 'seeking out the company' of black, professional footballers.

The woman repeatedly said this was not the case and added that she was going out with a white man."

The opposite version of "I have a white friend, so I can't be racist!"

Former Newcastle coach Steve Stone says Arsenal fans should put themselves in the shoes of Magpies fans when criticising Arsene Wenger.

The Arsenal boss has come under pressure from some sections of supporters after seeing their Premier League title challenge fall away.

'I just can't believe that you've got Arsenal fans calling into question what he's done,' Stone said.

'Tell some of those Arsenal fans to come and support and watch Newcastle every week. They won't be complaining about Arsene Wenger,' he added.

This clip is from 5 live Sport, Saturday 30 April 2016.

Will Englands 4th CL-spot go to the 5th placed team if City wins it?

Nope

Ok. Will they get 5spots if City wins it and finish outside the top 4? Or if both City and Liverpool win the cups?

City win CL - no change, all 4 spots get it + City (if they don't come in the top 4)

Liverpool win EL - no change, all 4 spots get it + Liverpool (if they don't come in the top 4) and we have qualifiers

Both win CL/EL - top 3 get it + City + Liverpool (if City finish top 3 then we only have 4 qualifiers)
