Not 100% sure on this, but I think there is a football stats guy on twitter (Ted Knutson) who may have just been appointed head of player analytics for us.

Will be the bloke behind Opta Joke knowing us.

Peter Lim's purchase of Valencia being finalised as of now, apparently.

EDIT: Official now.

No, Lim isn't doing drag; she's one of his representatives.

Bloke's smiling like they've got his family locked up somewhere

Given the limitations of financial fair play VI do we know what Lims intentions are?

Biggest priority will be to get the new stadium finished - infrastructure investments don't count against FFP and it will help their revenues. So far they've been using third-party ownership to prop up Valencia's squad. dunno if that's going to be their way of squirting FFP or that was only temporary since Lim didn't actually own the club yet.

Just achieving financial stability should be enough to improve their fortunes quite a bit, though.

f***ing hell :anguish: Hope they phone him back up when they end up with one trophy.

And newcastle fansa re deleuded for wanting something/anything better than Pardews turgid football.

Weird that a Chelsea fan that has been going since he was 7 and is now 45 would come out with that s***.  They were an awful side for a very, very long time.  I remember one premieship game in the early days when they played Wimbledon infront of 4k.

Outgrown the premier league my arse.

There is an excellent documentary right now on Dutch television about English football traditions going down the pan because clubs are being taken over by billionaires and investment companies. Some commentary is in Dutch, but most of it is in English (interviews).

Can be seen Live here: http://www.npo.nl/live/npo-2 (may only work in Holland though).
