RIP Joe Kinnear (1946–2024)

Yesterday was another example of the disgrace that JFK is as a "D.O.F". Everyone knew that, if the game went badly then the crowd would react and he should have been there to offer at least a visible support for his manager. But he chose the coward's way and stayed away, leaving Pardew alone (again) to face the s**t - he should have attended the post match press conference to explain his failure to give Pardew the Cabaye replacement he promised but showed that, despite  his bluster, he is a spineless, useless coward. Llambias at least did show up and speak up.

Kinnear routinely tells his friends that he wrote the best selling football book of all time.

That's nothing compared to his glorious victory at Waterloo.

He was on the grassy knoll too.  Shame it wasn't the motorcade.

After two transfer windows Why is the squad is weaker now, than when you took over After all that is all we can judge you on Joe...

2 loan signings (players we'd already been linked with and had presumably been in touch with their representatives already) in 2 transfer windows suggest that the guy has simply been employed as a figurehead, a distraction, a target for hate and blame, a guy to call a c*** instead of the owner or the manager or whoever.

Since it seems like some people can't grasp more than one concept at once and realise there are multiple contributing factors to the failure, stagnation and misery engulfing the club, employing him was a perfect tactic and he's doing a really good job of things in that respect, in the sense that he's a diversion from the real ills of the club.  Ashley knew we hated him and he's played on it.

It's depressing that the owner is this low in his behavior, but that's what we're dealing with.  It's more depressing that a number of our fans fall for it tbh, I personally couldn't give a flying f*** about Kinnear - I'm annoyed he's at our club but he's not the reason we're not bringing players in or anything, he might meet the players before they sign or whatever but he's not deciding our spend or dictating our strategy or doing anything beyond what the guy with brains (Carr) says, the Douglas tale aside.

Spot on there like.

We didn't realize "just how nasty they can be". It's sickening watching what this club is becoming.

Kinnear as manager would be hounded out in no time. It would also push us one step closer to see the back of Ashley. Bring it on.

The hounding he would get would be hilarious and well worth the watch too.  The venom in the ground would be something to behold.
