geordie_b
DIS has told jurors that on the day of Johnson's arrest she met with SAFC chief exec Margaret Byrne to inform her of the allegations facing the player. "I disclosed the offences which Mr Johnson had been arrested for, and considered safeguarding for any other young people who may come into contact with him in his role as a professional footballer." "She added that the specifics of Johnson’s alleged crimes were not discussed."

TK-421
Would like to think the FA would investigate this now, given they (SAFC) un-suspended him, and he was pivotal in helping them achieve points, all the while they knew what he was accused of. However, much like their repeated and regular pitch invasions at the SoS, it'll probably be ignored by the FA.

If they've genuinely known that he's kissed an underage kid and then allowed him to return from his club suspension some serious questions need to be asked of their judgement. Surely an independent investigation at the very least?
BlueStar
That's what he pleased guilty to, basically. So how come they didn't sack him till be pleased guilty? They knew he did it, but were assuming he'd lie and plead not guilty?

Guest firetotheworks
Obviously not arsed about the footballing side of things or points reductions as it's all unimportant, but there should definitely be an independent or F.A inquiry into why they allowed someone who they knew from his own words was a paedophile and that the lead inspector in the case advised them to safeguard him away from young people. That's extremely bad.
