Dokko
Tbf a few other news sources suggest our bid has been accepted.
Pilko
Doesn't sound like a question of a bid 'being accepted', more that we've met his £5m release clause.
ED209
Talksport just said we've been given permission to speak to him. "Hello Mr Conte its Joe Kinnear here, ringing to discuss your move to Newcastle" reply "Fuck off" Phone down end of conversation.
Guest reefatoon
Expecting JFK to come back into the boardroom with a round of cone's in from the ice cream man parked outside.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
He'll not come here. A late desperate bid 3 days in the the window. Mint.
Dokko
Obviously we've been talking to Wigan about perch, funny how we've come away from that bidding for one of their players. Wonder what happened at that meeting, if joe was involved or its an Ashley/whelan thing.

Skeletor
A decent signing if it happens. If not then he's a money grabbing cunt any way.

Guest Haris Vuckic
I suppose the one benefit of our competitors being Everton - even if Martinez is a hindrance - is that they'll be offering him about £80 a game.

TRon
Bid accepted! http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/newcastle-look-to-trump-everton-to-signature-of-wigan-striker-arouna-kone-8687738.html Far happier if we get this guy in and not Bent. It says in that article that he still prefers a move to Everton. If you had the chance to play for Martinez or Pardew/Kinnear, which would you go for? joeyt
Surprised none of the articles mention Dave Whelan breaking his leg in the FA Cup Final
KaKa
Kone: "Hello, is that Mr. Kinnear?" Kinnear: "Yes, speaking" Kone: "I've signed for Everton" Kinnear: "Okay, thanks for keeping us in the loop"
Skeletor
I love how it's always playing for 'Kinnear AND Pardew'. What a mess
nufc4eva
Wouldn't be a bad signing at 5 mil, still need another striker I think. From what I remember he causes defenders all sorts of issues, quick and runs channels etc, could compliment Cisse's play. Noticed he scored 11 goals last season so not to shabby for Wigan. With Kone, Cisse, Gouffran, Another and Campbell would be reasonable. The Another needs to be a goalscorer though
Dave
Would be a decent signing IMO, hope we can make it happen. I think he'll sign for Everton though given the choice.
Teasy
Where does it say that? Apparently Dave Whelan says we've had one accepted according to Sky Sports News. Would be a decent signing IMO, hope we can make it happen. I think he'll sign for Everton though given the choice. I agree unfortunately, if it wasn't for Martinez being there I'd be reasonable confident.
