Jayson
What the hell had Gouffran done to be dropped? Barely linked up with Cisse last week, not his fault as such just the way we played. Couldnt get Cisse near the ball without being outmuscled last week, so Shola. Joking aren't you, Gouffran was far better than Cisse last week. But Cisse is seen as the better striker whos potential we need to unleash. So he's unlikely to be dropped very often, till Remys back anyway.
jdckelly
What has Cabaye done over the last 6 days? Has he been training? staring forlornly at a signed picture of Arsene Wenger and a store bought Arsenal shirt I assume
r0cafella
What has Cabaye done over the last 6 days? Has he been training? On his own apparently. Good Game NUFC. Good fucking game. Club bids for player and we send player to train on his own.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
We all know that Shola won't last the full 90, so Gouffran will definitely come on. However it's just a question of when. It'll probably happen when the game is already lost.
Ketsbaia
3 vs 2 in midfield, with midget Anita against Diame. Marveaux on the wing, instead of central. Shola up front.
alexf
Only at this small time club we support would our best player be left at home to do whatever he likes on a match day afternoon. Why? Because another club made a derisory offer for him? It's absolutely pathetic. It is incredibly small time as you say. It is becoming clear we have been desperate to sell him all summer which seems linked to our lack of spending.

True but he shouldn't be undroppable and if you went by last weeks game Gouffran should have started, alongside Cisse to be honest but Pardew is worried about their set pieces

Ikon
If we lose Pardew will blame injuries Imo that team is one player away from being our best 11 (not the setup) apart from Cabaye.

Ikon
Should have been: Cissé Gouffran Marveaux Ben Arfa Anita Sissoko Santon Coloccini Mbiwa Debuchy Krul All f***ing out attack!!
alexf
So about 20 mins into the game will Pardew realise we need 3 in the midfield to compete and end up putting Cisse .........on the wing

Because that's how his maths works. £5m fee, £2m to agents, 5 year contract for the player @£46k/week and all the money is gone. Ignoring nicely that we don't have to pay Cabaye any wages any longer, of course, which they somehow always manage to do.

It's all well and good Pardew naming a seemingly attacking team from the start, but as soon as the game unfolds he'll revert to type.

Barnes23
Bit worried Anita will be muscled out by a Big Sam side tbh Yea i'm a bit worried about playing Anita as part of a central 2. Central 3 yea, but central 2? :/ Me too. Possibly the least suited to 4-4-2 out of all of our players. Not happy with the formation (or Ameobi), but pleasantly surprised to see Marveaux and HBA on the pitch together.

olliemort
Happy with that minus shola which is a joke. Looking at there team I wouldn't be too afraid but then again that's Pardews style of play ''shit the bed tactics''
