Dunk needs a good season before he could command Newcastle wages. I think Newcastle are trying to shift their high earners and I would not touch any of them bar Williamson. If Pardew had frozen out Gouffran and Williamson until they were sold and we still had HBA and MYM the squad would be in much better shape. I like to think that's what would have happened with a more competent manager, but maybe that's fanciful. Unfortunately, given the way we operate at the board level it's going to take until next Summer (if we're lucky) to get the kind of overhaul we were all hoping for in this window. Looked great in the Champion's league when he played in Greece. Also looked good for Costa Rica in the World Cup. Seemingly available for around £5 million too. Would have been happy with that move.
