Keeping them up would be a good job, doing it with any type of style this season or in any season would see his stock rise. If they get relegated - he'll have to fuck off down the divisions himself. That would have been a decent team to manage for him. Pretty established and have some decent players, and went out and got Lescott this summer, as well as spending £10 million on a striker. He was on the fantasy football club program last week and actually seemed to talk a lot of sense, basically said he wanted a job where he could build it from the bottom up and aluded to that being the issue with West Brom who already had their structure in place. He also put Shearer in his all-time XI players that he's played with and told a decent story about how Shearer wasn't the best trainer and if he wasn't interested he wouldn't take part, he said Shearer wasn't the quickest but put a ball 20 yards away from him and any player and nobody was beating Shearer to the ball.
