joeyt
Seems like a sideways (and possibly backward) step for him. Should stay at Southampton
KaKa
Koeman on the verge of taking over at Everton, him and his agent on the way there for talks. Wow ... what are Southampton playing at?
Froggy
That's a strange move.

joeyt
Sure I read that Everton would be making Koeman the highest paid PL manager if he joined them. Not sure if I read that before Mourinho was confirmed though
B-more Mag
Monk to Leeds Celibate good times.
Parsley
Di Matteo to Villa confirmed, Steve Clarke appointed as no. 2.
Astroblack
My thinking is that they've told him they're going to sell Mane and their other big players. Southampton will probably get another quality manager, though.
joeyt
Leeds have had 6 managers since Jack Wilshere last completed 90mins for Arsenal
samptime29
Never gonna happen. A Champions league winner in the championship, you must be joking. I was just thinking that, there will be two managers in the Championship who have won the Champions League. Given some of the utterly horrific names we've been linked with, I think Di Matteo is by far the best one I've heard so far. Good appointment I think. As you there say, lots of worse options out there.
Ketsbaia
Absolute madness if Koeman goes to Everton, even though he's getting a pay rise. I just don't get it. Better check Rafa's definitely signed that deal
triggs
If you're going to pay a manager that much you should be getting someone better than Koeman
Deuce
Owen Coyle to Blackburn then Hasn't had a winning record since managing Burnley.
khay
Owen Coyle to Blackburn then Hasn't had a winning record since managing Burnley. I'm not sure Blackburn have either.
Nate
I know the 'big club' debate is much derided but Everton dwarf Southampton by any reasonable measure.
LFEE
Leeds have had 6 managers since Jack Wilshere last completed 90mins for Arsenal Just came in to post that. Sad reflection on both of them.
Troll
Monk to Leeds How can he possibly expect that to go well? About a month of graft, then a nice payoff. Probably won't even have to manage a single game.
Leazes_End_Mag
Blackburn fans have already started a Coyle Out campaign.

Guest
I know the 'big club' debate is much derided but Everton dwarf Southampton by any reasonable measure. There's nowt between clubs like Southampton, Leicester, Stoke, Swansea and us, Everton, Villa for example anymore. We're probably more renowned but that's it these days. Magpie
Everton is a much bigger club than Southampton, miles bigger. Plus taking into consideration that the Saints still sell their best players every season, and there's no sign of that changing, and the supposed money about to be pumped into Everton it's a no brainer for me. Guest
Let's see if they can keep hold of Lukaku, Stones, Barkley, etc.
Leazes_End_Mag
Think Koeman could really take Everton places with the right recruitment if they do invest heavily. Very underrated manager.
