Hell, we gave the likes of Bruce/McLaren etc. a fair crack at the job. And yet the media coverage of Everton so far seems to be very sympathetic in its nature. Channel 4 did a piece on him a few years ago. None of the money is his they claimed - he was just a puppet - and now it seems the puppetmaster has lost interest. Everton fans are basically protesting at a bloke that has spent millions trying to improve them . Imagine how they would act if Ashley had been the owner .
