The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Van Nistelrooy to Leicester | Lampard to Coventry

Recommended Posts

No doubt in my mind that he's fickle and will turn it up to 11 if Conte's his manager. Watch his interview with Neville if you haven't. The stuff he says about ambition and about loving The Last Dance and if you've watched that he'll probably see Conte as his Phil Jackson.

£12 million to pay off Nuno £20 million for Conte and he wants £200 million to spend, FFP anyone ?

In the 2019-2020 season, Tottenham commercial revenue was £162m whilst ours was £29m. Thanks Mike. Which is why it’s imperative we grow that side of the club asap in order to compete with the likes of Spurs, let alone Man Utd etc (£279m).

Wonder if the spurs fans will get a berating like we over Bruce.

Very much doubt it

Nuno Santos - 17 games, 49% win rate MEDIA- Wrong choice, not good enough, make a change now before it’s too late.

Steve Bruce - 97 games, 29% win rate MEDIA - Hounded out, did his best, elite player, needed time and money

I posted the same thing yesterday

Manager of the Month in 1 of his 3 months in charge and within a couple of points of the top 5 which is realistically their ceiling given the squads and money Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U & Man C have.

Seems a tad harsh, it’s not like they’d not have known the style of football he played before they took him on.

This may also impact on players we would be in for come january

We mightn’t be through interviewing candidates for the managerial job by then. Every time someone is sacked we probably add them to the process list.

Yeah, I mean they turned down Fonseca in favour of Nuno’s style.

Absolutely nowhere for Spurs to go if they somehow fuck this up. Incredible appointment by them

Of course there is....are you forgetting the elite manager with 1000 games experience in Bruce?

If ever a club deserved him it's them.

Great manager, but it feels like him and Levy are a falling out waiting to happen.

For them it's time for Levy to go....he had his good years with Poch and now its starting to unwind a bit. Everyone is wise to his getting massively inflated fees for their players which was essentially his best trick.

He pushed it too far with Kane this summer, and they're paying for it now that his form has dropped and the 150/200m he wanted for him is looking weaker by the match.

Combined with a huge stadium debt, they could easily and gradually slide back to mid-table for a fair few years if Conte doesn't perform miracles immediately.

Conte to Spurs. Emery to us. Fonseca possibly to Villa. Woof.

Santos < Conte

Bruce < Emery

Smith < Fonseca

Quite the upgrade of managers for a large portion of clubs in the PL in a short space of time (assuming all of them signs). Will be interesting to follow second half of the season.

Man utd fans are livid ?

You'd be absolutely tearing your hair out tbf. Lose 5-0 to your biggest rivals, bounce back with a 3-0 win against a club that then goes and brings in the manager you wanted. Absolutely brutal
