Come on, you know more than most that his reputation after leaving Man United wasn't anywhere near the same as it was when you hired him. He was considered a failure at Man United despite what you're putting forward as his achievements.

Spot on. Hard to pinpoint the source of the toxicity. Perhaps it was the consistent success during whiskey noses tenure but the expectation was that it would simply continue.

But every manager that’s gone there since has had their career/reputation diminished, aside from perhaps OGS who nobody expected much from to start with.

Can’t see anything changing while the current ownership structure and executive management is in place. They don’t seem to have a plan.

But don't people look at that as an issue with the club rather than the manager?

I think a lot will yeah, I just think it's very difficult for people to come out of it and it not effect their reputation even if it is the club that's to blame. Chelsea has the same issue to a lesser extent I think.

That is so harsh to sack Ten Hag this early. They’ve lost Xhaka, Tah, Wirtz, Frimpong, Adli and now Hincapie.

How much of that was the players just wanting away from that clown?

I mean look at Xhaka! Going from Alonso to ETH had to be as steep downgrade as any player may have experienced

My theory is that ETH was spending all his nights in hardcore techno clubs and then couldn't conduct proper training sessions on a comedown.

Well he's lost half his team so that must have been some comedown

The Athletic behind the scenes article on this is going to be top notch.

Is this the shortest non resignation/interim tenure... anywhere?

Leroy Rosenior was Torquay manager for ten mins back in 00’s.

I don't rate Nuno tbh, providing Forest get someone who can keep them solid but improve their attack they'll probably improve.

Devils advocate… Loved at Wolves and Forest it seems in general. Won MOTM the month he lasted at Spurs

We’ll see, but I don’t think they have the quality of squad to do that.

Take someone like Milenkovic, been absolutely brilliant for them in the way they currently set up. If they were to open up more, I think he’d get exposed and it could start getting difficult for them.
