Away to Arsenal, away to Wolves x2, Barca x2, City, away to Everton. Played Liverpool, PSG x2, Chelsea in the weeks before that too. The press got carried away. A sizeable section of our support stayed grounded. The vast majority, including myself believed and still believes he did enough to get a shot at the permanent gig. At the end of the day it isn't his team, and the turnaround was magnificent. He had a good run of fixtures when he came in but some excellent results after that. We beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Leicester away from home and drew with Liverpool the weeks before this bad run. Shouldn't Man Utd, a team that finished second under Mourinho last season, feel like they should get more out of those 9 games? I guess now OGS is in charge, more excuses can be made. (Jose won away at Everton and Arsenal last season; drew and beat Liverpool in their 2 league games; and beat City away) I definitely think we should have got more out of those games. The manor of some of the defeats is what is worrying, not the results themselves. The Everton display an absolute disgrace. There's a lot of players that need shipped out this summer and I hope we don't cling on to "stars" in desperation. We need a complete overhaul. You'd be better off cutting your loses and sacking him at the end of the season then finding yourself a manager with the quality to lead what should be the biggest football club in the world. We're not now. It's as simple as that. We haven't come close to winning the league in 6 years. Expectations need to be lowered. Why? You were the best team in the league and acted accordingly. If you now accept that you are Europa/maybe top 4 and act according to that you (generic, not specifically) will soon be telling the world that Man Utd are no longer a top 6 club and expectations should be lowered to mid table. Facts are in the eyes of many Man U are still one of the biggest clubs in the world with a revenue stream to match, you should Billy Big Bollocks with this, not accept that you are yesterdays men. We can't win the league next year and certainly not the Champions League. A lot of our fans think we can just sign a CB and a RB in the summer and we'll be competing again. That's not how it works. Not wanting him out but rather want him to install a footballing director of sorts. He's amazing at the financial side of his job, but he's been making footballing decisions which have hindered the club, such as not wanting to pay £40m for Alderweireld and £50 for Perisic. Go all out for Koulibaly and Skriniar and with someone like Poch we will challenge. Desperately need those centre backs though.
