Ben
So is the feeling here that, Jones will just be a coach to train the players the new owner brings in ?

Lampard had built a pretty solid foundation for that team, they are currently the 3rd or 4th best defence in the league. Just no significant quality up top to speak of with Calvert Lewin consistently injured, I think they’ll be ok this season in the end which is a shame as I can’t stand that club. TRon
Quite happy to see Lampard limp along at Everton, they are a solid enough team now, but will go absolutely nowhere under him. At best they will become a boring spoiler team.

nufcjb
Wigan sacked their manager, just a few weeks after he signed a 3 year deal. But what's even more bewildering is the name thrown by the reporter of the article below, to take over the position. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/63583133

gbandit
What’s horse shit? He’s an amazing coach who creates attacking teams that are relentless, but it requires huge physical exertion from players and defensively they’ll always ship goals. Historically, he averages 1-2 seasons in each post and that is largely due to his teams burning out

gbandit
Given their squad, I think he’d probably be a really good option for them, especially if the main remit is staying up this season
