Guest firetotheworks
This defeat feels too tight, and that win I had was too loose, but a draw feels juuuuuuuust right. Remember this one when Jol and Villas Boas got sacked as well. “It is a Black Monday for the LMA. We lost some worthy colleagues. “I am sad about that. “Sometimes the vehicle does not fit the driver so to speak.” Ooooh, this vehicle is too bloody tight! r0cafella
It's like every time we manage to scrape a victory the previous bastardisation of football he achieves is quickly forgotten, at least in his mind. He's a f***ing con artist, and to credit him he's pretty good at that. Given most of us saw through him ages ago he really isn't a good conman is he? Just slimy slide his way right in. I was thinking that it would slip off him. It's all hypothetical of course because we've never watched him try his clothes on. Robbo
Alan Pardew's summer splurge set to excite Newcastle's legions of fans as he calls on the spirit of Sir Bobby Robson to lift Toon By Damian Spellman Published: 17:23, 17 April 2014 | Updated: 17:25, 17 April 2014 Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has raised hopes of a summer transfer splurge on Tyneside after preparing supporters to get excited about the targets he has identified. The 52-year-old boss, currently serving a touchline ban for butting Hull City's David Meyler, said: 'We have got ourselves into a position, hopefully, in the summer to make some investment that can take this club forward and be stronger.' And asked if supporters should be excited by the prospect of a significant recruitment drive, Pardew added: 'I hope so because the targets we have buoy me.' Touchline rumpus: Newscatle boss Alan Pardew (left) has received a stadium and touchline ban after clashing with Hull's David Meyler (being held back, right, by fourth official Howard Webb) last month +4 Touchline rumpus: Newscatle boss Alan Pardew (left) has received a stadium and touchline ban after clashing with Hull's David Meyler (being held back, right, by fourth official Howard Webb) last month The former West Ham and Southampton manager also vowed to live up to Sir Bobby Robson’s legacy as he attempts to drag the club out of an alarming slump. The 52-year-old has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks amid a run of four successive Barclays Premier League defeats - the Magpies have now lost eight of their last 11 games. That has seen any hope of a top-six finish disappear, and the top-half place set as a target by owner Mike Ashley before the campaign started is no longer the foregone conclusion it once seemed. However, Pardew is determined to provide a much-improved finish to the season before embarking upon a rebuilding programme he hopes will win over his detractors. He said: 'The most important thing for us is the history is heavy on us. What Bobby Robson did here and that great side, we have got to live up to those expectations. 'The financial goalposts have moved a little bit, probably, against us, but that doesn’t mean to say we can’t compete, and that’s what I’m determined to do.' Pardew, who completes his touchline ban with Swansea’s visit to St James’ Park on Saturday, has been hamstrung by injuries in recent weeks, most notably the calf problem which has sidelined leading scorer Loic Remy for the last six games. His absence has simply exacerbated the dearth of threat posed by Newcastle since Yohan Cabaye’s January departure for Paris St Germain, and it is no coincidence that they have scored one solitary goal without him. It is a failing of which Pardew is acutely aware, and he knows so much responsibility cannot be invested in just two men in the future. He said: 'The stats have really endorsed what they have been to us, but it shouldn’t be like that. 'We should be able to spread that across the board a little bit more, and that is definitely a criticism we have to accept. 'I am hoping that the other strikers in the group get some goals and the other creative players in the team create some goals. 'If we can even it out a little bit more, it would make my job a little bit easier.' Out of sorts: Hatem Ben Arfa of Newcastle, here in action during the Premier League match against Stoke last weekend, has been heavily criticised by fans Pardew’s job will be significantly easier this weekend if Remy and full-back Mathieu Debuchy, who has missed the same number of games with a groin injury, are available after returning to training, although that is by no means certain. The manager said: 'It will be a big boost for us in terms of their experience at this level and their quality. It’s nice to see them back. 'With the World Cup not far around the corner, it’s important that they get the time in now.' However, midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa remains a doubt after suffering a dead leg in last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Stoke. The France international has been a peripheral figure for much of the season, to the disapproval of many fans, although he has rarely produced when given his chance. He was reportedly involved in a frank exchange of views with Pardew after the 4-0 home defeat by Manchester United on April 5, although the older man was relaxed when asked about the incident. He said: 'There are certain times when you talk to players and you want more and players want more of you as the manager, so those discussions go on on a daily basis with all the players, not just Hatem.' Mick
Does anyone have, or know where I can find a list of the records this clown has broken? Positive and negative records. Just want to have more firepower with anyone who tries to defend him. Heaviest home defeat to the mackems for 35 years. He became the first Newcastle manager ever to lose 3 games on the bounce to the mackems. Liverpool beat us 6-0 at home last season, that was our 3rd worst home defeat ever. We've only lost by more than 6 once, the Liverpool defeat was our worst at home since 1925.

Super Duper Branko Strupar
Standard default response from Paedew. However I do feel a slight change of tact. He's been much softer there, especially in his mentioning of Cabaye and Remy et al. He's for the very first time there admitted that those problems should be addressed and his team should be taking on the responsibilty. I dont for one second believe he now feels he is accountable, he has admitted something in a way he never has before, though. He's definitely getting coached. His bi-monthly mentioning of Bobby is as always there to get our more fucktardish fans back on his side.

Mick, how many times since the early 70s (my first game) Do you think we went into the 3rd round of the fa cup, with safety secured and nothing else to play for? I think its very few- like you wait your whole football supporting life for these rare opportunities, a chance to throw everything at a competition. and we didnt even bother. Im now questioning the whole point of bothering with this club. I just cant get over how angry and dissapointed I am at us not putting our strongest 11 out if the cup against Cardiff. Unforgivable for me, and yes thats from a pardew sympathiser up til that point.
