Jamesmcc222
Either this goes really well and then they have to dump him and start again in the summer. Or it goes really badly and they plummet the rest of the season. They are hoping it hits the sweet spot of pretty well, shake hands and say goodbye. Another long term interim is such a strange choice. Regardless it’s another whole season completely wasted for them and effectively done by first week of Jan. Long may it continue. Any Europe will do for the revenue, preferably Europa for another pathway to the CL in 26/27. The league is wide open, although I'm expecting two losses from our next two. You've really decided to roll the dice here such a weird situation.

Tuchel, Glasner, Iraola, De Zerbi, Luis Enrique, Poch, Marco Silva are all out of contract in the summer. They're being cheap and hoping Carrick can bring the vibes until the summer and then we can get a better coach for less money.
gbandit
It’s no way for Man U to be run like. Ratcliffe is such a terrible owner in the sports world. He can be a cheapskate snide bitch in the world of business but it doesn’t translate to football. We saw Ashley cut every corner he could and look what happened to us. Ratcliffe uses the same playbook, he’s far too arrogant to consider whether he’s the problem. With the lack of extra games you should absolutely be in Europa League as a minimum but I just wonder about the mentality at the club nowadays

Don’t disagree that Euro spots could still be on the cards but you’ve (annoyingly) shown that Europe doesn’t impact you attracting players or not. Don’t think it makes or breaks you if you are in Europe next year. Simply that regardless of what happens this season you have to start all again in the summer, then need months to get used to a new style etc. Just seems like best case scenario is treading water for another 9 months. Seems such a waste of time and money.

Daft cunts got millions in the bank, a massive house and an absolute scorcher of a wife at home and he prefers to spend his time out and about cos-playing as a football manager and telly pundit. Yes we were able to attract Mbeumo/Cunha etc. but I'm sure their minimum expectation was that we'd be straight back into Europe next season. I think the squad is perfectly fine for a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 which Carrick will play. There shouldn't be much adjustment and I'd say the players will be instantly more comfortable with these formations than what Amorim was trying to implement. Main issue for me is we now have Mbeumo and Amad in the same position, and they're two of our best players. Not sure how Carrick sorts out that dilemma. kingxlnc
Here's a honest question for you. WHo's drop off has been greater post domination-period? Liverpool dominated the 70s and 80s. Man U dominated the 90s and 00s. Liverpool post 1990-2013 Man U post SAF 2013- Liverpool I don't remember ever being as comedic as Man U have been, and certainly never finished bottom half at all. The worst of those seasons and teams was that Kenny Dalglish/Roy Hodgson around 2011-13, and of course Souness and 92-94. They also won a few big things - 2001 and that Owen season (treble of cups) and of course 2005 CL, 2006 FA Cup. Man U have also had a few 2nd and 3rd place finishes - and won plenty - FA Cup, Europa league, Carabao cup. But they've also been a basket case of a club in that time. So who was worse? Despite being seen as "comedic", both clubs still won more than most other clubs will win in 100 years, and that's what the history books will remember.
