Man ... I think Ousmane Dembele is quite raw. Not sure he's the one to spend that kind of money on at all. Not as high on him at all. Could Barca not have gone after Mbappe with that amount?

After the Neymar sale i think everybody you could have signed would have a either been a massive risk or underwhelming tbf. The only way you could have avoided it slightly is accepted Neymar was going ahead of time and bought in replacements before you got the 200m, but that would take some forward thinking which seems to be lacking atm.

Dembele had something like 20 assists last season. He's still a little raw, but he's going to be very good. Not the worst way for them to use the Neymar money.

It's probably the best position for position replacement tbf, the only alternatives is going for a more sure thing but ultimately will prove not good enough in a couple of years.

Going for potential is probably the best possible course of action.

Dembele is pure class, but this fee will make him the second most expensive player ever after Neymar, right?

Yeah, but it's like Carroll being 35m because of what Liverpool got for Torres. Obviously on a ridiculous scale.

Not about the money.

Doesn't matter what money you're worth, if someone owes you 24m you're gonna be a bit fucked off

He won't have a leg to stand on imo.  You can't sign a new contract with a big loyalty fee and then organise a transfer with a club 8 months later.

Seems to be similar to what Pulis did at Palace (mind what pulis did was even worse).

Burke signing for them just shows exactly what's wrong with your average British footballer.

He's at arguably the best place to be to develop his game when it comes to facilities, coaching and learning on a tactical level, yet wants the comfort of home.

Aye, more British footballers need to go abroad.
