Tony Barrett : BREAKING NEWS:

Liverpool accept bid from Barcelona FC of £64m + Alexis Sanchez in exchange for Striker Luis Suarez #Barca

EDIT: Maybe not?

They've either evaluated Sanchez too cheaply or Suarez too highly there. For a player they don't even need.

Must be a dream negotiating with Barca. That Ibramovic-Eto'o deal comes to mind.

So world record fee? Kind of disgusting a player can bite 3 times, have racist tendencies and still command a fee like that, while banned.

Barca used to be a well respected club, nothing better than Madrid these days, any scumbag as long as they can buy success.

Hope they win fuck all with him there, while he chews on Messi's knee ligaments.

They won't be able to play together.  Pedro and Sanchez were arguably barca's best players last season.

Man City rumoured to be in for Ross Barkley, worked out well for Rodwell didn't it?

You actually believe that? We sold Fellaini for £27m and the Mirror think they can run a story about £25m + Rodwell for Barkley  Luke Shaw has just gone for £30m ffs.

I love this myth that has built up about Rodwell's career too - that he was a great prospect and a first teamer at Everton whose career stalled when he joined City. Fact is, he had already been found out and become nothing more than a rotation player at Everton. We were happy to sell him as soon as City made an offer that was much lower than the fees talked about a couple of years previously. City wanting to buy him was a shock to most of our fans in the first place.

Rodwell has all the talent and athleticism needed to be a top class player but his mentality is way too soft, even aside from the constant injuries.
