At worst, Neymar is the heart and soul for his national team, and he carried Brazil (and occasionally Barca) on his own.  I don't think Mbappe has such impact yet, although last year CL run was really impressive.

Mbappe has the potential to be better than Neymar but not now.  The move to PSG may slow down his development as well.

Either transfer fees have went daft, or the Premier League has dropped to such lows that Jonny Evans is now considered one of the key defenders available.

There's a lack of quality defenders in general.  Similar with GK's.

The sooner UEFA and the Premier League scrap this home grown thing the better. City can go and buy someone they really want rather than someone just to fill their quota, WBA keep their best player, everyone's happy.

Premier League is shite compared to what it used to be. I've been fighting with myself for a while over this opinion, sometimes I feel like I'm letting nostalgia rule my mind, but then I see Jonny Evans being linked in a £26m deal. Chris Woods moving for £15m. Sure money has changed, without a doubt, but where once oh fuck, I don't know. Stupid football.

They're high fees in those leagues for the best players in the league aye, but I bet you could get someone as good if not better than Evans and other 'good' players for half of that.

Leicester have made a second bid for Jonny Evans. As much as he's not Man City level, that'd be a cracking buy for Leicester to partner Maguire.
