AyeDubbleYoo
I think understanding your role and your strengths/weaknesses is absolutely essential at any age, that's where a great manager comes in. Not to mention the improvement confidence and motivation can make. How it compares to going out on loan I'm not sure, but chasing balls into the channels in league one isn't necessarily the best education.

Plus this coaching vs. game time thing is a bit mooted if he's going to be getting minutes for us this season.
triggs
For defenders especially coaching is very important. A good coach can make poor defenders look better than they are. For attacking players you still do need some coaching but at the end of the day the coach can't teach you how to dribble past players or put a pass through the defence
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Another chance to impress and absolutely nothing of note came from it. Will be loaned out.

triggs
I thought he was good when he came on. Looked for the ball a lot, tried to bring it forward and kept possession when he had it
Scotty66
Took a shot from outside the box when he should of squared to Ritchie who was in a better position, more space and screaming for the pass. Can't blame the kid, but playing him as much as he wants would end in disaster. Needs to be loaned out to another team in this division.
Stifler
As much as I want to give him a chance I just haven't seen anything from him in pre-season or today to suggest that he's ready for the step up yet.
Yorkie
That shot.
samag
Looked no worse than the other forwards..
Newcastle Fan
He looked good when he came on, certainly looked better than before his loan.
St1pe
I thought he looked bright as well. He seemed to link up play better than either Gayle or Perez in his short cameo. He definitely snatched at that shot but given how ineffectual the partnership of Gayle and Perez was last night - I know it's early days - I don't think we're in a position to loan him. TRon
If we want to stay in this division we can take a punt and hope he'll come good. Or we could loan him out and do whatever it takes to buy some proven quality up front.
joeyt
When we actually play the ball to his feet he looked good I thought. As we all know, he's not going to be any use with the defenders hoofing it to him
54
Signed a new 4 year deal
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Think he looks dross to be honest, how long was left on his current deal? Might it not have been a good idea to see if he can cut it in the championship first before signing him up on a long term contract, let alone the prem. SEMTEX
Signed a new 4 year deal Rash decision. Gayle and Mitro will probably only be out for a week.
triggs
Thought he was good when he came on against Fulham, hope he starts Saturday
Leazes1986
He's 19 man. How can anyone question this decision? Even if he's not ready for this league yet, he's 19.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
To be fair I've had a mare with this one, still don't rate him highly from what I've seen for us but thought he was 21 or 22, how the fuck did I miss that? I thought he was 19 when he started getting on the bench for us a couple of seasons ago. Still a fair bit of time to tell I suppose.
Ritchie
Well done Michael, he's nineteen.
xLiaaamx
Actually might not mind him being the out and out striker. Whenever he's come on as a number 10 for us he hasn't looked good though.
Guest
Good news Get him on a years loan in the Championship and evaluate next summer. Do worry about his lack of height/strength though.
sempuki
Happy with that. Hope he takes his chance if he gets it on Saturday.
