nufc4eva
Rooney turned out gash from playing at 16, Shearer had an awful career playing at 17. Fuck me he is full of shit
sempuki
He could at least give the lad 15 minutes from the bench. Would like to see others given a go too - Streete, Aarons etc.
Gallowgate Toon
I don't mind the lad not starting but Pardew should at least try and bed him in with 30 minutes a match.
La Parka
Everton don't seem to have a problem with this. Rooney, Coleman, Osman, Stones, Barclay....
Dr.Spaceman
I thought Osman was like 22 when he broke into the Everton team? Seem to recall him being on loan at Derby when he was 21 or so.
Guest
Coleman was about 20-21 as well I think, but his point is a good one. He missed off Gosling though.
NUFC_Chris
If Armstrong is ready, fit enough, and strong enough then I'd play him regardless of his age. People develop physically at different ages, but he probably still has a bit of growing/bulking up to do which is perhaps why he's being left out. If you start him and he isn't physically ready you could destroy his confidence.
Big Geordie
If you are good enough, you are old enough. Pardew just spouting more rubbish.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
If you are good enough, you are old enough. Pardew just spouting more rubbish. You call up TS, no doubt you'll have been told by Ando that we're obviously comparing him to Rooney, Owen et al then if we start him now.

Disco
How did he do? Saw that he got on again. Won a FK. Didn't really get the ball apart from that.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
How did he do? Saw that he got on again. Got told to play out wide, believe it or not.
Pilko
even the poor young lads aren't immune from this ridiculous notion of playing anyone with some modicum of centre-forward goalscoring ability on the wing.
Zero
I think he played well, show some good control and vision. That pass to Shola was class.
Tachikoma
Did very well for a striker out of position.
healthyaddiction
Did he honestly get put out wide? f***ing hell What was weird was Ben Arfa came on at the same time and went up front.
themanupstairs
Did he honestly get put out wide? f***ing hell What was weird was Ben Arfa came on at the same time and went up front. Typical pards then, pathetic stuff as per usual did that really happen?? I didn't watch the "match" after seeing that starting line-up. Fuck me I'm so glad I didn't waste my time on that crap. matta
Shame for the lad that he gonna have his career ruined by Pardew.
La Parka
Looks to be able to control and pass the ball. A novelty compared to our other strikers!
Cronky
Looks to be able to control and pass the ball. A novelty compared to our other strikers! Yep, we badly need a striker that can create a bit. He looks confident and eager to get involved, which is very encouraging to see.

Zero
Pardew aside, I think it is good to blood the young strikers on the wing, unless they are physically strong enough.
loki679
If you have a couple of decent strikers then maybe (although i'd still rather see them playing in the correct position). When they're playing on the wing to accommodate Shola Ameobi the point is rather less valid.
Corrigan
Atleast he would have enjoyed the away end chanting for him rather loudly yesterday
