Southampton 4 - 0 Newcastle United - 29/03/14 - post-match reaction from page 33

It's weird how we're still losing the ball and not creating anything even without that shitecunt Ben Arfa on the pitch.

Pitch probably still stinks from when he on it. Understandable tbh.

Totally envious of Southampton's set up: Solid English backbone with a quality foreign manager and ambitious owner. light years ahead of us.

Ambitious owner is the key. The rest comes along with that.

We could try to get Nicola Cortese (who brought Pochettino to Southampton) ... why the fuck do I even care.

Not really. Prowse, Lambert, Shaw, Lallana came through the academy and/or been with them since league one. They've then took chances on young English players like Cork, Clyne and Rodriquez, something we are scared to do. Filled in the blanks with big money foreign signings rather than keep trying to do it on the cheap, that's where the ambition comes in.

Their academy is easily the best in the Country. That hasn't happened by accident and has very little to do with ambition or the current owner.

Well deciding to keep a coach and staff for an extended amount of time is paying dividends..everyone said it would bring consistency and it has.

'i said it would take you places, i didn't say they'd be places you'd want to go' or whatever the real quote is

Should have sold them as soon as they became good tbh.
