Now I just want his as far away from the team as possible, offers nothing going forward or as a defensive shield. Must be the first on Rafa's list to be binned in the summer, promoted or not! WHAT DO YOU GAIN FROM GOING THROUGH THE BACK OF SOMEONE OUT WIDE WHEN THEY LITERALLY HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO GO? The attacking player would 1,000/1,000 take the free kick for the niggle through the back compared to the dead end they were in with the ball. TRon Posted February 16, 2017 Share Posted February 16, 2017 If anyone wonders why he still gets picked (apart from there being no other option) let's think about what Rafa might see in him. Firstly, he might follow instructions well for position. Second he protects the ball quite well and his passing might be safe but that means he shouldn't give it away much. The problem is, he has no legs whatsoever, so defensively he's useless and will end up giving away free kicks and picking up bookings.
