Wallsendmag
Still really pisses me off that this spineless bunch of players were one of the reasons he left. Apparently he was unpopular in the dressing room because he wasn't a team player they moaned and he didn't track back yet the likes of Gouffran does this week in week out yet appears to be immune from any criticism from those inside the club. NUFC really is rotten to the core from Ashley, through to the coaches and the players. The tea lady must be the only decent person in there.
morla84
Excellent player but obviously seems to cause problems behind the scenes every where he goes. Players seem to improve in the eyes of fans the less they play. Its not like he went to Hull and lit the place up

Players seem to improve in the eyes of fans the less they play. Its not like he went to Hull and lit the place up Tbf nobody could go Hull and light the place up. Even Carver managed to go there and win. Ben Arfa probably scored 2 of the best 10 goals I've seen at SJP in my 30+ years of attending. He would be superb in a good side with the talent he had. Of course some of our fans would rather watch Gouffran and Sammy because apparently "at least they put in a shift".

Hanshithispantz
It's absolute bullshit like, the exact opposite happened in fact, the less he played the more fans concluded he was shite and started regurgitating Pardew's warped reasons for dropping him as gospel, such as his apparent lack of application. NEEJ
The acceptance of the opinion that he wasn't worth the hassle, was selfish, lazy and a bad influence amongst a very high number our fans tells you everything you need to know. Sad, gullible people with no backbone. I hope they're happy with Gouffran plodding about doing absolutely nothing except giving the ball away almost every time he receives it each match. joeyt
I love the argument that he didn't light up Hull. Bruce has spent loads of money and still manages to fit his son, McShane and Meyler into the starting lineup. Look at Tom Ince, he's been tearing the Championship up since joining Derby and he was excellent in Hull's loss against Arsenal in the FA Cup, yet Bruce refuses to play him in the league because he doesn't put as much graft in as Brady or Quinn. Bruce is as good at handling flair players as Pardew was
TaylorJ_01
Words can't describe how minging Steve Bruce has been recently, it was so predictable too. Start off well with limited players Invest in better players to push on Dip in form because you've no idea how to use them Drop arse and play 8 defenders Continue to drop because players are s**** It's the same with Pardew, just watch. He's been playing Stephen Quinn behind Sone Aluko for god's sake. An absolutely abhorrent left back behind a guy who struggled in the SPL. Meanwhile, at the back, about 6 CBs slime about being absolutely disgusting.

morla84
Still reeling from his disruptive influence imo, look at Nice - 2 wins in their last 11. Dreadful form since he had that brief flirtation with them

KaKa
The players had no right to run him out of town. They're all an absolute disgrace, and perform no better, nor work any harder than he did. It's all so stupid.

U2
Yeah, but can he stumble across the touchline with the ball under the slightest pressure from a defender and give the opposition a goal kick? Also, could you imagine the shitstorm that would have whipped up if it was Ben Arfa and not Gouffran giving the ball away for that Tottenham goal. Christ

Also, could you imagine the shitstorm that would have whipped up if it was Ben Arfa and not Gouffran giving the ball away for that Tottenham goal. Christ That double-standard from our fans, players and manager is what made the entire HBA episode so blood-boilingly insufferable. He would tear teams apart but get blasted by everyone for giving away the ball. The rest of the 10 players would do fuck all and still give away the ball, and everyone would call it "graft."
