Arsenal 3 - 0 Newcastle United - 28/08/14 - Post-match reaction from page 1

But if you want us to lose surely you're hoping for a bad performance? Especially if you want 4/5/6 against?

I'm not of this opinion, I wish colo had a stormer and we battered Arsenal. Wasn't to be though and we put in another poor display.

Us losing may be something we want to improve us in the future, but that doesn't stop performances like Colo's recently being disappointing. We know Pardew is s***, but the players should still respect the shirt and give 100% on the pitch.

I hope every player is rated 1 out of 10 on Saturday.

Wanting us to lose, and criticizing players for not bothering to show up are not necessarily contradictory.  Stop using the 1's and 0's Principle, man.

OK, I'll stop using 1's and 0's, I hope they all play shite.

I want us to lose by as many goals as possible at the moment, so personally I don't want them to give any effort at all.  Hopefully the reason they aren't trying is because they want Pardew gone as well.  If they just aren't trying because they couldn't give a shit full stop then that's unacceptable, but at the moment I'm not going to make assumptions on their motives.  I just want them to lose big and him to get fucked away from the club.  Hopefully I'll get the chance to come to a conclusion on their commitment next season by being able to see them play under a new manager.

Unless you're assuming their lack of effort is unrelated to being sick to death of Alan Pardew then its pretty contradictory.

On one hand I certainly don't blame them, and I am not criticizing them for not bothering, since I want that fucking 6 foot tall human manifestation of Herpes Simplex to be jettisoned into the Tyne.  But at the same time, I can see where others are coming from, since they are being paid gross amounts of money to do fuck all.  I wish somebody paid me 50 grand a week for not touching my film.  They may as well become Congressmen.

The money they get paid will make no difference to them, it's normal to them

Not performing on the pitch is about the only way players have of registering discontent in an effective manner.

It's usually how you can tell a manager is done, just look at the upturn in Man Utd's performance this weekend - Giggs didn't have to do anything other than not be David Moyes.

What summed everything was the second goal. It was offside, they was hardly any protest if any from the players..

just no fight in the team.

.

At the very least the team should have fight and effort in it. Under this clown we have neither...

A journalist on Talksport comparing our wage bill (£64m) with Man City (£233m) and saying City didn't win anything last year - again missing the point.

Wonder if he is  comparing our wage bill with  last season F.A cup winners Wigan.

Des Kelly on Talksport tearing Pardew apart especially his soft interview on Sky last night and the pundity from Neville and co.

Going on about their performances are unforgivable and losing Cabaye is no excuse because other clubs cope and that we have good players who should be doing better.

Jordan's banner makes the back page of tomorrow's Express: https://twitter.com/suttonnick/status/460901372016459776/photo/1

Well done Jordan and the others who held up their banners and cards, but the protests were muted vocally and until that changes, Pardew stays.

Completely true. He'll probably think it's a small minority at this point.

Protests were loud, clear and relatively constant in the away end, were they not loud on the tv? (Seriously question, just read this back and it sound like I'm being an arsehole)

The game at Stoke there was no mistaking it, the protests from that game came through loud and clear. Maybe the fans were situated closer to the mics.
