James
I'm fucking ecstatic with a good 3-0 win now after seeing how it all panned out. The protest went well and the message was loud and clear to all to see including Pardew. With a loss or draw, Pardew could simply blame recent results for fan behaviour and still say he can turn it around. But we won emphatically, and the fans still walked out on him and booed him. He can't hide, it is all about him now.

Some are saying they're disappointed with the amount of people who left, but at the end of the day the issue got fudged with the 60/69 thing and we were winning 1-0 at the time in a game that looked very open (plenty going on in the spell where the walkouts happened). Also got loads of coverage on the TV as well while it was happening and looked quite impressive on the 69 one. Must be remembered that this all started with Heza too. One person. KaKa
This whole thing has emphasized the power fans still have. The initial few banners brought Pardew under more scrutiny, and the media looked closer at why the fans were unhappy, and actually started reporting on how bad he had been. This in turn forced more fans to take note of how poor a job he was doing, and recognize that it just wasn't good enough. Been quite amazing to witness it all unfold. Big Geordie
Pardew; "Tough game - Cardiff had nout to lose. Started well - played some good stuff first half. Difficult environment - difficult for players, said he wouldn't have liked to play in it. Krul and Tiote we excellent. Enjoyed the professionalism on the pitch. Carver giving out orders - he decided to stay sitting down. Pleased to see Taylor score at the end. Pleased for the club and all who work here - wanted the players to do the staff who work at the ground proud. Was worried that goings off with folk leaving would detract from the players - thanks the players for playing through it. Says the team haven't won enough fans back yet, but it's a small step. Summer recruitment is important. Says the team owe the fans a performance at Liverpool (!) and also 'the league'. Wants to give a good account and hopefully take some points."
