Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Real Betis)

Heard that Cisse has some knee problem which is preventing him from starting games.

Cisse is a goalscorer and is doing a decent job.  His first touch is dogie and passing is bad which makes his dropping back very ineffective.

Anyway, Perez is showing to be a real raw talent, could develop into a top player.  His ability to hold the ball in tight situations is something we need more of.

This is the outstanding feature of his play. He can receive the ball under a lot of pressure, but somehow finds a way of wriggling out of trouble and getting / keeping an attack going. His ability to improvise is first rate.

It's idiotic if so, taking any emotion out of it (not difficult these days) with our strategy of buying low and selling high you'd think selling Perez any time soon would be unwise as his value is likely to rise and rise.  I know we got £35m for Carroll after just 12 months of good form but he was physical and English, and Liverpool were idiots.

I don't want him to leave to a bigger club and sit on the bench and stagnate. That would probably happen if he stays in this country. This lad has so much potential, and I really hope he makes it, sad knowing it will not be here :undecided:.

He was only bought to be sold, they all are. No point getting attached to any other player now or in the future, they're assets, bought and sold with the sole intention of making money.

It wouldn't be as hard to bare if the money generated was invested back into the club to drive it forward but it doesn't. It disappears into the club's bank account so we don't end up like Portsmouth. We only exist to pocket the tv cash plus whatever we raise through peddling our assets on. We're no longer a football club, the club died some years ago.

Unfortunately this in a nutshell sums up where we are as a club and where we are going. Ashley has drained the club of passion and purpose and our fans meekly accept this.

Selling Ayoze would actually hurt. Most players we buy to sell usually have a limit to their abilities but he seems like the type who genuinely has unlimited potential.

After a local lad through the academy he's really the dream...youngster brought in for fuck all, from nowhere, no - one expecting anything and he looks born for the level once thrown in against the odds.

FWIW I think he'll stay another season.
