huss9
He really reminds me of someone famous but I can't think who it is. Zach Braff?
alpal78
As much as I like him, he's never gonna be able to play up top on his own. He's a goal poacher and one who can probably make diagonal runs for through balls. But here's the thing that is exactly what Pardew's teams don't do. Our attacking play is basically hit the ball to one of the channels and hope our wingers get there first before the opponents' full backs. Alternatively lump ball to the forward which is never gonna stick with Ayoze up front. At times, it was sad seeing him struggle for high balls against center backs almost twice his size. If he doesn't get the lucky breaks in the box his goals will dry up to (and of course Pardew will blame him that he's not working hard enough). There's zero chance of Pardew playing the team to his strength or developing him into a better player.

Aye he's not a lone striker He got an award as best attacking mid for last season - is this where he played for tenerife? Is that maybe just behind a lone striker? Anyone? Decky
Loved the pass he hit to find Cabella on the opposite side of the pitch - hammered it to the lads feet to give him time to shoot before the defence could react That was class. He made it look so easy too.
joeyt
Annoyed me yesterday that the stat on MOTD was 'Perez has scored twice in his last 2 games after failing to score in his first 9' despite not starting any of them

Shows what a goal scorer's instinct he's got tbh, the way we play really doesn't suit him at all.
Jack Flash
2 goals in 219 minutes in the league. Should improve on that in the next 4 games.

What should not be ignored is that in Spain he won the award for best attacking midfielder, not best striker.

Yorkie
Absolutely fucking loved that deep cross to Cabella (was it?) towards the end of the game. Really took me by surprise. Those two look like they may have some chemistry.

Pilko
Absolutely fucking loved that deep cross to Cabella (was it?) towards the end of the game. Really took me by surprise. Those two look like they may have some chemistry. It looked like he'd completely overhit the cross at first, but it was absolutely perfect both in power and placement. Conjo
Certainly showed that he is more than just a poacher as some seem to think with that cross. Showed great vision and passing ability.

Also the manner in which he just ripped it too, confident bastard.
