DJ_NUFC
Think it's time for him to start ahead of Sissoko, like. This, although I wonder who we can play instead of Sissoko or would simply moving him back to the right wing be better. Our wing play in general is abysmal. Figures 1-0 Football
Looked nice and tidy when he came on, the sort of player I thought he was when we signed him.
Parsley
Think it's time for him to start ahead of Perez, like. based on what?! The only way he should be in the team is with someone like Perez linking up with him. Plus Perez has actually scored 5 goals for us this season and needs the confidence to keep playing from a new manager. De Jong has done f*** all for us this season. Based on Perez being constantly outmuscled in the middle by Kirchoff and wanting too many touches in congested areas probably. de Jong was more effective in the centre due to his size and the way he looks to move the ball quickly. If Perez is to stay in the side, he's better suited to playing on the left imo.

Perez should be used as an impact sub against tired legs.

TheInfiniteOdyssey
He's a weird one, don't really rate him but we seem to actually get results (aka not lose) when we play him.

Slow, lumbered, and even if you take out the fact that he's made of glass, his excellent close control and intelligent mind seems to stop our forward play as opposed to enhance it. Again, I think he deserves a chance, but not in the place of Perez who brings a different dimension to our attacking play (or A dimension), and deserves to be on the left far more than Townsend or Sissoko. KaKa
De Jong is our one and only option playing off that front man. Nothing else has worked there all season. A big reason why we never seem to be able to get more dangerous chances and score more goals. People keep losing possession in that area.

Varadi
We were much better once he came on, needs to start the next game imo.
Mikky
We were much better once he came on, needs to start the next game imo. He's too slow; you can't have him and Mitrovic start together IMO: both are slow as anything sadly
triggs
Didn't think he was actually that good but we've played well the few times he's played so I'd start him

He's too slow; you can't have him and Mitrovic start together IMO: both are slow as anything sadly This used to be my concern, but as long as we have pace on both wings and encourage those players to get in behind when possible, I think it will be fine. At the moment we aren't able to build play through the middle because we have no presence in that position. That is a far bigger worry than the pace one IMO. loki679
He was roaming around yesterday. At one point he was deep in our own half picking up the ball from the centre backs.
Ketsbaia
Yeah, he should be in the team now I wish there was a way to fit De Jong, Cisse and Mitrovic in the same line-up.
ujpest doza
If he'd played the 90 minutes we may have got a better grip on midfield and won the game. He glides around the pitch and doesn't waste possession. His introduction made a massive difference as prior to him coming on we abysmal in midfield with Shelvey too deep and playing Hollywood balls and Wijnaldum just totally anonymous. Lush Vlad
It was nice to have someone on the pitch, that actually showed for the ball and didn't seem shit scared. Unless they were totally unmarked or safe in our own half. None of our players seemed to want the ball. It was pathetic. I'm not a massive fan of de Jong. I think he's immobile and I'm not sure how we can get the best out of him? But Rafa obviously rates him and we were much better when he came on. When he was on, I thought we dominated. He does seem to try and link the play and make intelligent forward passes. Which is a massive improvement on most of our players.
