Going into the season with one specialist left back who is injured 90% of the time was insane. To not rectify the situation in January when backup left backs were also crocked was gross incompetence.

If he thinks he's too good for us then he's in for a rude awakening. I don't see any side succeeding with a defender who goes missing when it comes to defending. He's got all the attributes to make a great full back except for the mentality. Too often stood watching shots and headers fly in while he's marking fresh air. I reckon he'll be dumped from the Dutch squad fairly soon and he'll end up at some club in China or Qatar within a year of leaving here.
