Agreed. It'd be interesting to see Ashley's reaction though. Obviously there's a reason he's splashed the cash (by his standards) and if there's one thing about him, it's that he likes to have one over folks and hates being humiliated. I imagine Pardew convinced him the reason he was so shite was due to Ben Arfa and that he needed investment somehow.
