toontownman
Get the feeling they're stringing this out until Carver gets a win. thought this too. In the Championship next year?
Unbelievable
Could just be a case of Colo asking for an update on the new manager search on behalf of the squad. If we feel so frustrated at how long this takes and the lack of communication from the powers that be, imagine how the players must feel.
Ronaldo
Would also hope Coloccini would have more brains than to want Carver anyway BTW. Coloccini's best mate was treated terribly by Pardew when he had a cancer, yet Coloccini defended him publically to preserve his own position in the side. He certainly wouldn't want to risk an astute manager coming in and taking him out of the side.

No chance he's walking away from that contract. He already had chance to leave and he didn't take it.
Guest antz1uk
No player should have any say who the manager is imo, if people know NUFC's history they'd know exactly why I think this. Richard f***ing Dinnis. Completely agree, if i had a restaurant or a hotel and was looking for a new manager i certainly wouldnt be asking the head fucking waiter who he wanted to be his boss

Guest antz1uk
couldn't think of one, was the nearest I could think of, and you get my drift anyway, don't be pedantic
Guest
Not really. You might ask the Head Waiter or whoever what he thought of the stand-in manager, if he felt the restaurant could manage as it is for another few weeks while they looked for someone else or if he had what it takes to run the place himself. Guest antz1uk
there isn't a stand in manager, however never mind, this conversation is going nowhere and reminds me of why i left my wife

gazza ladra
Far cry from the "player power" days of Nolan and Barton. When they backed their manager-- and the manager backed them... that just wasn't allowed. And now they're turning to Coloccini for advice. After he backed Pardew over Ben Arfa. Yeah, we be stuck with Carver. No doubt about it.

Ankles Bennett
It's got to be Carver for the simple reason that he also had an 8 year contract and Ashley won't want to pay his contract up. What he might do is give the job to Carver on a one year rolling contract to replace the 8 year contract. Carver will jump at the opportunity and Ashley can then get rid in the summer by paying up the remaining 6 months of his contract. A cheap way of getting out of the 8 year deal
