Newcastle United 1 - 0 Aston Villa - 28/02/15 - post-match reaction from page 19

Yep, thank god for Cisse and Janmaat. Colo also came in with some lion-esque defending, tbh, in the second half. If WilloCo have a decent game together every 5 games that's our CB partnership settled for the next few years (they will, of course, be out of the team when they decide to end their playing careers), guaranteeing our Premiership status and keeping Charnley's rectum lubed up.

Five years? Jesus. Not sure they'll let Williamson on the field with a zimmer frame.

He's 2 years younger than Colo, mind.

What makes English manager Sherwood crap other than conjecture based on your Canadian expertise, DJ?

Let's see: given the manager's job after licking incredible amounts of anus at his previous club, by being in position of power above actually accredited, more experienced coaches who were there. Not having a sense of how the modern game works, playing style in line with all the other dinosaur homogenous managers from yesteryear, and over-reliant on the 'hardman' routine that got old in the 1980s.

I'm not a fan of Sherwood, clearly, and he may even go on to carve out a decent managerial career one day in the league, but to me he epitomizes the deeply-set malaise in English football where coaching is concerned. If the country itself is to improve, they need to hire or support their own managers who are more in tune with the modern game.

Villa are dogshit.  Colback could get a few England caps based on how many Cleverly and Delph have accumulated between them.

Hutton is a horrible little man.  Quite a few cynical players, Lowton being one.

Sinclair and Agbonlahor are worse than Sammy.  All pace and nowt else.

Hope they go down - where's the dirty bedsheets now?

Sammy and Obertan ran Villa around, if it wasn't for Obertans shit finishing and Sammy being taken down from behind (should have been a red) then the score could easily have been about 5-0. Any team who has the ability to produce and end product will take this Villa team apart. We beat them today and we were far from special and probably one of our least impresive performances whilst still picking up points.

'Newcastle is the easiest away ground to play at'

Doesn't bode well for them then. Going down. Wonder who their new Messiah will be? :smugdog:

Best part is we've only lost three league home games all season, amongst all the s***.

Genuinely shocked to read that

 How in the fuck can that be possible.

Psh, something a fucking Canadian would say. Don't you know that only Englishmen know anything about football?
