I feel unless Garde (or someone "fresh" and forward thinking) takes the role, then whoever gets the job (McClaren) are on a hiding to nothing from the start. The club, whether they wanted too or not, have actually increased hope and expectation amongst many of us only to actual let us down when they hire ANOTHER patsy. If this is all just PR then its moronic, it just makes it clear to everyone that we do have some very realistic choices far better than McClaren, peoples hopes and expectations are being brought back up. So when McClaren is finally brought in nobody will be even remotely happy with it. I mean it may be all bollocks, but its a utterly stupid move by Ashley and co if it is. I didn't think Carver would get it but McClaren in my mind is on just about the same level as Pardew. If he is appointed then Ashley has been shot in his first attempt at sticking his head above the hole and will feel the wrath of season ticket holder not renewing this year. I honestly don't think it will be McClaren but if it is, fat Mike just f***ed himself with the fans at the first attempt. You cannot legislate for a SACKED Championship manager getting the job and if it s I look forward t all the s*** coming steaming down - if it is mind! In reality it's likely that Vieira would be interested in the job, but not if the job refers to the Ashley blowjob perfected by Pardew and Carver which MCClaren would happily kneel down for.
