Nah just shit.

Not sure why he's being selected.

Having said that when he was first picked there were some people on here that said he was a top player that they'd have at Newcastle!

Carsley actually was a good fit, and all the games bar one England dominated and played well

He knew the players and apart from that crazy experimental game, most of his decisions made sense (even Angel Gomes played well in his games)

This is kinda what I meant in my earlier post about nobody giving a fuck about England anymore

If the golden generation or a Southgate team got pumped rotten by Senegal the same week they stumbled over the line against a country the size of Doncaster  there'd be a witch hunt. Now everyone just laughs it off with a "what do you expect, we're fucking shit" kinda attitude.

I acknowledge that I live in a Geordie bubble and maybe theres more enthusiasm is parts of the country where their local teams are shit but it does seem like the apathy for the national team has never been higher.

How any one can muster the strength seriously give a fuck about England is beyond me

These matches have also come at a rotten time of the year. The season's just finished, people want to switch off from football for a bit.

Yeah, the over reaction to that game was crazy.

At least he was trying something different. Instead of always just going with the same setups and players all the time.

And like you said they were really good in the other games.

Feels like this England generation is just WANK.

We’re not winning the World Cup but we’ve got good players. The FA gave Tuchel a target of winning the World Cup.

He is going to pick tried and tested players even if they’re over the hill because he’s got to get us qualified and ready in 12 months so can’t go with a major rework.

Blame the FA for their short-termism.

I think Carsley just didn't have the desire for the job. If he'd nailed his colours to the mast and demanded a chance, he might have got it. But I feel like he was happy to just stay in the background.

I thought our best attacking football came towards the end when we had a front six of Rogers - Bellingham - Jones ; Madueke - Eze - Gibbs-White. They showed some good combinations. I'm not sure about Madueke though, but Eze is a real talent. He seemed to flourish with the extra responsibility.

Did Any of the senegalese players look canny?

Krepin Diatta and Habib Diarra both had good games. The left back Diouf was good going forward and put in some great crosses.

Leeds are after Habib - looked good on this display but tbf it  was vs Skelly so.

I've had no faith in Tuchel. Weird squad selections, poor performances etc.

Not enough is being made out of selecting Kyle Walker and Henderson over the likes of Wharton and Tino.

Jude Bellingham has fucking 40 caps and won a league title and CL. Declan Rice has as many caps as Paul Scholes managed. We don't need experienced heads for the sake of it.

Imo not selecting Wharton and Tino made perfect sense and was the correct thing to do.

There is a Under-21s Euros this summer, and Wharton, Tino, Anderson etc are going to be the leaders in that camp, in a tournament you'd expect them to get far in, and that experience is going to be invaluable long term, way more so than a friendly and a game against Andorra will ever be.

The football looked typically lacking in craft or guile with more emphasis on playing direct. Not sure hiring a German manager was the best solution if we were looking to develop our inventiveness on the ball.

Wharton & Tino have 2 caps combined. They need to get used to playing in the Senior team, playing under that pressure (and it's real pressure to perform - no matter the opponent) and getting used to being in the squad and media duties.

The World Cup is only a year away.

I’m absolutley certain these players just want to go on vacation and relax with their families. Not head to a bunch friendlies. At least Nations League and WC qualifying has some teeth to it for the future. I am sure the CWC boys see some remote purpose with that tourney.

im fairly certain Burn missed his brother’s wedding for this England camp, no?

From what I saw it looked a group of players who were uninterested relative to their opponents. Feels like it's barely with of critique, like any fixture played at this ridiculous time of year.

International football needs to adapt to the bloated club calendar. Certainly it needs to rethink the tedious qualifiers. If you reach the last 16 of the tournament itself, that's you qualified for the next one.

Something has to give somewhere.
