Ronaldo Posted Wednesday at 22:47 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:47 He’s fighting a losing battle now, mind. At least beyond the short term. Coming out with similar, rather weird (partially lost in translation) shit as Capello.
alexf Posted Wednesday at 23:20 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:20 Lost me with his weird squad selections already. Add in that the underperforming nations from recent years are starting to look decent again, the heat excuse for a USA world cup, and the fact we get beat when we eventually face someone decent in tournaments anyway and I don't hold much hope for success. Actually might be worse than Southgate if he loses that team togetherness that was cultivated and I wasn't a big fan of him but I could respect that he did bond the group together better than most we've had over the years. He just lacked that ruthlessness and tactical edge when it came to getting over the line.

geordie john Posted yesterday at 13:37 Share Posted yesterday at 13:37 I really can't be arsed with England tbh. Southgate was boring as hell, but he had good young players and generally played them in the right position. Team spirit was great and all Tuchel had to do was take thjhe handbrake off and let them do what they are good at. Instead we've got a 35 year old past it Walker, a 35 year old past it Henderson and a team that have no idea what their tactics are or what the idea is. Kane is scoring goals but his legs are gone and will struggle at the world cup. I am seriously not optimistic.

He has quite a thin neck, much like the radish root. And he does have Barry from Auf Weidersehen Pet vibes sometimes. I'd like to see him really angry, I imagine he'd go a similar colour too. While that's not a bad thing in itself, if you overdo it, it leaves you lacking in pace and spark in key areas.

Tiresias Posted yesterday at 15:30 Share Posted yesterday at 15:30 I mean what do people expect from fixtures after long grueling league season? I dunno anyone would have sparked a stirring performance On the other hand this does all feel like classic FA overreaction signing. Southgate was hired and kept on on vibes (and also results, it's just when we get to a final we were always by far the worse team). But FA are like hmmmmm can't go all the way with a common garden vibesman. Need to sign a super intelligent systems manager who wants to instill modern posession football. Only that's really tough thing to do with a rotating cast of players who barely spend any time together. Also don't get me wrong, Tuchel could well be that perfect balancing manager in the middle whom can instill good vibes in the camp, get the players delivering their best on the pitch, and also tactically competent to know that TAA is not a fucking defensive mid. I do think though he has a long way to go in only a year before the world cup tho

And tbh it's the selections that look barmy too.

Nine Posted yesterday at 16:02 Share Posted yesterday at 16:02 (edited) I think it’s a bit silly to write him off after some meaningless end of season games, those players didn’t look interested at all and wanted to be on holiday. His team selections don’t exactly inspire much confidence but again it’s end of a long season for some players, this guy does know what he’s doing and no doubt rest/rotation played a part. Give it some time. I’d like to see less direct play though, even if the selection is limited in some aspects. Turnbull2000 Posted yesterday at 18:29 Share Posted yesterday at 18:29 (edited) When our leading player, Bellingham, has grown to be an absolute c*nt, it doesn't make it any easier to get on board with England. He's like a footballing Verstappen. Edited yesterday at 18:29 by Turnbull2000

Dr.Spaceman Posted yesterday at 19:10 Share Posted yesterday at 19:10 U21 game already more entertaining than both the recent seniors games. Anderson booked after 17 seconds, Hutchinson looking lively and England attacking.
