Cronky
Midfield anchorman More suited to being a TV anchorman. That's the role he played for Holland in the last World Cup, and that's how I was basing my expectations. However, Premiership football is a different proposition in that role. On the other hand, we never really found a decent role for him in our side, though we tried different options. The player that I hoped he was going to be was Wanyama - a solid defensive unit down the centre who can still contribute to the attack, unlike Tiote. It didn't turn out that way. Some posters on here have talked about his technique, but that's his weaker area. He's a good athlete but lacks the more subtle skills.
Sho Time
Our Wanyama
Foluwashola
Think he's best suited to playing in a Terry Butcher sort of role. If Klopp keeps that in mind he might just succeed.

Don't know why they bothered signing Manninger as cover when they have Gini tbh.
Ndegwa
Holy shit Cronky  fucking love your posts. Fellaini, midfield anchorman, Wanyama, lacks technique Please never change.

Gallowgate Toon
Gini's technique is absolutely excellent. First touch and dribbling in tight areas are really, really good. The only player that's had better in the last 10 years is HBA.

Hanshithispantz
If Cronky isn't on the wind up then he's thinking of a different player. Probably from a different team and perhaps a different sport.

Mr Logic
What sorcery is this? A midfielder who can turn and run with the ball? They make those? Wow. Seriously, I don`t care if he scores goals and assists at all as long as he brings this to the table - it would be absolutely priceless for our overall game. It would create so much space in the final third if we can take people who press us out of the game - our attackers would have a field day. This is like having Coutinho in your CM, a player with all the skills in the world but who also has power and physicality to cope there. You want to squeeze us in our own half? Ok, we`ll just dribble past you and hit you on the break. The majority seem well pleased.
Guest chopey
Liverpool fans weren't to happy with Winny last night !! Saying there is no way he can play in a two man midfield he's too weak it's only worth playing him in an attacking role in a midfield three so he has no defense responsibility

KaKa
Liverpool fans weren't to happy with Winny last night !! Saying there is no way he can play in a two man midfield he's too weak it's only worth playing him in an attacking role in a midfield three so he has no defense responsibility They actually used him in a two man midfield then?! Oh dear Happy we moved Gini on man. Not a fan of his game at all. Though he is talented, not sure where he best fits on the pitch. Looking at the Liverpool options in that number 10 slot, Gini is not the best option at all.
Norseman
Also happy we sold him. He's talented, but he just doesn't influence games enough.
