AyeDubbleYoo
From most reports Mitro didn't hate Rafa or anything like that, I think their relationship is OK considering he never got picked.
Darth Crooks
Who knows what he thinks about Rafa or anyone. I reckon he just has this in his head at all times. https://g.co/kgs/wWAQfU
mighty__mag
If Mitrovic had started as many games or came on as a sub as Dwight Gayle or Joselu, would he have scored more, less, or about the same? That's the question. Cant prove anything now, but I think he would have done better than both.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
Joselu isn't even getting a start at the moment. Rafa obviously doesn't rate any of our strikers highly or he wouldn't keep rotating through Joselu, Perez and Gayle. He's picked Gayle over the last few games. If Slimani gets fit I'd imagine he'll start. Mitro getting goals in the Championship doesn't guarantee he'd get them in the Premiership (especially considering Fulham are an attacking team near the top of the Championship table and we are a counter attacking team near the bottom of the Premiership table). You may as well argue Armstrong's performances at Blackburn in League 1 mean he'd do a better job than some of our strikers in the Premiership. It's pure conjecture. Footsoldier
Given that two or three goals at the right time would've made a big difference to our position, you have to wonder at Rafa's man management with Mitrovic. If we go down and Rafa walks, then this may prove to be a self-inflicted nail in the coffin. Who really cares if joselu runs around like a blue arsed fly in training? joeyt
At a Martin Hardy talk I went to before Christmas he said Rafa said out of our strikers Mitrovic was the 4th best finisher in training behind Gayle, Ayoze and Joselu. Not in reply to anyone in particular just adding it to the discussion

Not in reply to anyone in particular just adding it to the discussion Tbh, I can quite well believe Joselu finishes world class in training. Doing it in front of 52k fans in a high pressure Premier game is a different thing altogether.
Kaizero
I have to say I disagree with the concept of judging a striker 100% on training ground effort. Rather judge by effort in matches, that’s where the pressure is.

xLiaaamx
What happens at St James' > What happens at Benton. Not really bothered what they do in acres of space in training. They all bottle it often where it matters. And Joselu theb lets it affect his whole game on top of that.
samptime29
Will gan absolutely radge, if we're relegated, and Mitro bangs in double figures for Fulham tbf.
Footsoldier
Especially if they came up. But fat mike would cash in. So every cloud has a silver lining. Just not for us.
Zero
Will gan absolutely radge, if we're relegated, and Mitro bangs in double figures for Fulham tbf. My Fulham mate is furious why we didn't let them have Mitro back in August or they must be top of the table already. On the other hand he is very pleased they dodged Gayle. He may well have got them promoted, but going forward, and with the benefit of hindsight his performances this season suggest he's on a downward spiral. Current Mitro >>> Peak Gayle Controversial because they are playing at different levels and Mitro is playing for a team playing to his strengths. But from the perspective of the Fulham fan, would I rather we had spent £15 million for the last 3 years of Gayle's career, or have the option of getting Mitrovic at the beginning of his? It's a no-brainer, whether last season happened or not.

Guest
He's showing when given a run of games he'll score. It'll be interesting to see what he's like at this level in a team more suited to him.

I'm supporting the view of Zero's mate, the Fulham fan. I should have probably said "the FINAL 3 years of Gayle's career".
