Paully
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45969705 "It was really hard in Newcastle," he says. "It was one city, one club. Everybody there was really crazy about Newcastle. "Sometimes it is nice, but sometimes you want to be quiet and go out with your family. When you are not happy on the field, you just don't want to think about football, [you want to] have your space. "In Newcastle, there is no chance." We just didn't suit each other," says Mitrovic. "I didn't suit his tactics and I didn't really feel comfortable to play, so he couldn't get the best out of me. But it is nothing personal - just business. "We had a good relationship and he is a good guy.”

TBG
Seen plenty players round town. Can't say I've ever seen anyone stop them going about their business. Aye you'll get kids doing it, but they'll be the same kids writing down how they prepare their Weetabix. So it's clear they're just overly excited and possibly on the spectrum. TRon
That's a surprise, if anyone would love being in a football mad city you would think it would be Mitro.

SEMTEX
That's a surprise, if anyone would love being in a football mad city you would think it would be Mitro. It's fucking toxic man. And the city/country/world is chock full of utter plebs. I can certainly see massive negatives to hanging around Newcastle for a footballer who just wants to get on with his day. Guest
Yep. If he’d just had the last 9 months on the pitch that he’d had at Fulham here I bet he’d have fucking loved it.
Kanj
Would be nice to stop talking about this plank. Now he's complaining about when he wasn't happy and how he didn't like being approached by people - aye so does EVERYONE in the world.
Dinho lad
So that's Rafa and Mitro himself saying he's not suited to the way Rafa want the team to play - any objections?
Raconteur
So that's Rafa and Mitro himself saying he's not suited to the way Rafa want the team to play - any objections? “He’s so good Rafa should have changed the system to accommodate him”. TRon
I mean you just have to look at Cole's face to see he wasn't exactly the sort who thrives on attention. I think Mitro would have been fine, just probably needed to be a goal scoring hero playing regularly to enjoy his time here.
Altamullan
Went to watch Mitro play at Etihad tonight. Fulham were totally outclassed by Man City B (pretty much). What a team. Foden and Diaz are two stars of the future. Although Diaz scored two and was named MotM, Foden edged it for me: great feet, vision and energy. Probably not fair given the opposition but Mitro looked like a cart horse amongst thoroughbreds.
