Dokko
Not a chance Ashley lets a player go out on loan and we pay the salary. Especially not a player with 5 goals in his last 10 Premiership games (plus 2 assists) PS: That was something i read, may not contain truth.

Guest
How long does it normally take for the Premier League to charge him? Tomorrow since it's the Bank Holiday?
jimmymag
I still hope we keep him. Can see him scoring 20+ goals if he gets the playing time. He looks fitter than he has done in the previous seasons What the fuck are you on?

xLiaaamx
They can't charge him after the 29th.
xLiaaamx
Just watched it again and I'm now convinced more than ever he was just going for a bodycheck.
HaydnNUFC
More goals could and should have followed but a third duly arrived four minutes from time when substitute Aleksandar Mitrovic walked the ball home - thanks to the officials, who allowed the advantage and also made the correct call that the striker was marginally onside.... As is often the case though, both sides of Mitrovic were evident once again - the goal following an earlier elbow aimed at Manuel Lanzini which may yet result in a retrospective three match ban - although referee Neil Swarbrick clearly saw the incident and judged contact to be unintentional. Hopefully this will follow Steve Mounie's stamp on Isaac Hayden last week at Huddersfield, deemed to be a case of re-refereeing after the game which is not something the FA like to do. Regardless of the eventual outcome though, the pointlessness of the incident is beyond question. Like Jonjo Shelvey in the Spurs game, the foul gave us absolutely no advantage. ExiledGeordie
Good to see him score but the usual moronic dickhead on show throwing an elbow which may yet result in a ban. Seems he'll never learn.
Dave
If the ref saw it, why is it still being discussed? They don't go back to incidents the ref has already judged upon.
STM
If the ref saw it, why is it still being discussed? They don't go back to incidents the ref has already judged upon. I sometimes think people want bad things to happen to us. Personally, I just wish he had elbowed Hernandez.
pinkeye
The ref definitely saw it because he spoke to the player and West Ham players afterwards. Seemed to be indicating that he thought it was accidental and a shoulder collision. It is highly unlikely that the FA will effectively re-referee the game to change the decision given at the time, if they do that opens up a huge ball of contention for every wrong decision to be looked at and judged afterwards. Instead the likelihood will be that Mitro will remain on the "watch list" for all referees and get the harshest of judgments for anything in the future on the assumption that he has done something wrong - whether he did or he didn't. Judged by reputation rather than action.....
Leazes_End_Mag
Don't know which ref it was but one was on TalkSport last night saying he's almost certain Mitro will be charged.
nufcjb
If the FA want to charge him, come and get it fucking done with ffs. If not, just let us get on with our lives. The media, pundits and ex-refs are making a big meal out of it. On a side note, right now, I might get some flak for this but if it's between Gayle and Mitro who's going to be sold, think Gayle would get us more money, not that we'll be able to use it. Gayle would probably get us more goals too but if his head is not right, might as well keep this hothead. At least he'll still play and contribute. Gayle would just be anonymous if he's not interested.
timeEd32
The Football Association is reviewing an alleged elbow incident involving Aleksandar Mitrovic, which could see the Newcastle forward hit with a three-match suspension for violent conduct, sources have told ESPN FC. triggs
If they're reviewing it it's almost definitely a ban I'd presume
AyeDubbleYoo
I expect a ban but I think it would be slightly harsh. It's nowhere near the level of Arnautovic. It's debatable rather than blatant.
pinkeye
The Football Association is reviewing an alleged elbow incident involving Aleksandar Mitrovic, which could see the Newcastle forward hit with a three-match suspension for violent conduct, sources have told ESPN FC. Seriously, anyone at the match or who watched this on TV saw the referee talk to Mitro and the West Ham players about it. The incident was seen by the ref and not determined to be a foul. That is irrespective of whether it was a foul or not. If the ref saw it and took no action then the FA taking matters into their own hands sets a very difficult precident that would mean they are now prepared to re-referee games. We have a number of injustices that happened against us, namely that big nosed cunt Harry Kane for one!! Would that be refereed again - no, of course not! I know it is "only Newcastle" and we are not that significant but, the FA taking such a step opens up a minefield and undermines their referees decisions. xLiaaamx
It's a bodycheck that the ref saw. It's pure bullshit and clear bias.
