sbnufc
What was the song for him yesterday?
Skeletor
hoping he fucking terrorises arsenals back line next week We've struggled against Arsenal for a long time. I think part of that is we haven't had anyone to cause them nightmares in the air where they're still weak. Can't wait to see him against their defenders. Also hope Cech is still flapping at crosses when we play them
Yorkie
Super header but big shout out for the deep cross - was an awesome ball in.
sempuki
Would also give him a start so he can get off the mark.
Ikon
Considering that he's only 20 years old and lacks match fitness a bit, and playing his first game in a new league away at OT. Pretty damn impressive debut considering everything. He'll be a force!
Parky
Going to be some player. Needs more support up there. Couple of players should be tasked to getting in and around him sharpish.
Flip
He ran so much yesterday and never really looked that knackered despite lacking match fitness. Impressed.
Sho Time
With Thauvin (if he proves good enough, Aarons if not) and Ayoze either side of him, I think Mitro will be fantastic. Thauvin can deliver the ball into the area from his side and him and Ayoze can have some neat little link-up play once they strike up an understanding. I'm sure Ayoze is capable of delivering a decent ball into the area too.

sbnufc
Mitrovic v Cattermole in the derby will be a laugh
Guest antz1uk
i'd like to see a midfield of this if McClaren can get tiote back to what he used to be, there's some great service there for mitrovic. I like anita but i'm just not sure he's got enough to cement his own position. at the moment it's like we've got him and colback covering one position. Colback offers nothing, he doesn't break up play nor does he offer anything going forward, we've got 2 players taking up 2 positions of what 1 player could do, break it up, protect the back four and move the ball on or in the case of sissoko drive forward himself sissoko/tiote aarons winjaldum thauvin perez mitrovic FWIW i think sossoko will be gone by 1st Sep
Guest chopey
did we find out what the song was ?
nemtizz
Was merely 'Mitro, Mitro, Mitro' when he was going off. I think.

Flip
How did he play yesterday? Promising. Obviously not the best performance but really showed what he can do and never gave up as well. A bit too isolated imo.

Is he the type who can score goals off his own esteem like say Ba could, or does he require good service ala Cisse?
Hanshithispantz
He was surprisingly good on the ball tbh, can definitely see him getting a few on his own.
xLiaaamx
He's a much better footballer than cisse
Mole_Toonfan
Also that header that hit the bar is something nobody since Carroll could have done, it was only a chance because of him and he made it into one.
Willow
His strength is fantastic, I especially loved it when he just powered Bastian off the ball and left him for dead. Hope he starts against Northampton and bags his 1st goal asap.
Guest ElCid
How did he play yesterday? Promising. Obviously not the best performance but really showed what he can do and never gave up as well. A bit too isolated imo. He will always be isolated when you have Colback and Anita playing in the middle - that has to change and quick
Yorkie
He was surprisingly good on the ball tbh, can definitely see him getting a few on his own. Aye, he looks like he can carry the ball forward pretty well. I know I keep banging on about it being a slow process under McClaren, but there are going to be frustrating times where we see the striker isolated up front on his own. It's pretty fruitless with Cisse up there because the ball does tend to bounce off him a lot. There are occasions where Papiss will wriggle his way out of a couple of encroaching defenders - providing he's received a ground pass - but he certainly doesn't bring the ball down particularly well. If Mitrovic can bring a ball down and then carry it forward, he's already a better bet than Cisse if we're going with one up top. That all being said, it altogether looks like we've got much better options going forward. We've got pace balanced with physicality right across the front six now, having had virtually none of the latter last season (Sissoko aside). We've got real brains too in Perez and, if he ever finds a way into the team, De Jong. If McClaren can formulate some kind of coherent attacking gameplan to make use of the attributes at his disposal, we could score a lot of goals this season. But, at this stage, with my expectations firmly on the ground, I'm happy to wait until after Christmas before we start seeing that potential being realised. This is certainly not a defense of Pardew, but for the first time in a few seasons it looks like we've actually shaped our incoming transfers to suit the requirements of the squad and - dare I say it - some kind of team identity. mrmojorisin75
How did he play yesterday? Promising. Obviously not the best performance but really showed what he can do and never gave up as well. A bit too isolated imo. Cheers! Is he the type who can score goals off his own esteem like say Ba could, or does he require good service ala Cisse? Not as explosive as Ba was imo so he's not likely to be barging through defences the way he did when Pardew had us belting the ball up to him on his own. He's going to score goals though if we can put crosses in the box, and I confidently predict you're going to love the mad cunt.
Sho Time
Also that header that hit the bar is something nobody since Carroll could have done, it was only a chance because of him and he made it into one. His ability in the air is unparalleled. That header was fantastic and the way he got in front of Smalling(?) was fantastic to connect to the cross. Says everything we need to know when a centre-half in Mbemba can deliver a better ball than Ubershan.
Noodles
If we give this lad service he'll score - it's really that simple. That header was almost Carroll-esque in the way that he got up there ahead of the defender. We need to start him against Northampton, hopefully he gets a couple of goals and that'll get him started.
