ujpest doza
Gave away the free kick and then stood and watched as they scored. Otherwise he was okay and at least "put a shift in" (copyright Ando).
AyeDubbleYoo
Were we playing some sort of weird back 3 when he was on?
Disco
Were we playing some sort of weird back 3 when he was on? Aye, playing a bastardised 5-4-1 although the 4 and 1 were pretty much invisible.
The College Dropout
So was Janmaat. Bolasie managed to isolate Mbemba 3-4 times. Rinsed him every single time.

TRon
I was actually hoping this lad was close to making the team. He's probably going to turn out rubbish but he could hardly make us any worse defensively.
TRon
Just reading in the Times today (Martin Hardy) that after the game last week at Palace in the dressing room Coloccini sat silently and no one said anything. Then Lascelles who came on as a sub had had enough and he started shouting at his team mates while the backroom staff watched in silence. Sums up this current bunch of wankers pretty much tbh. TRon
I can see why we bought him today. Looks like he has a lot of potential both defensively and in attack.
mrmojorisin75
I can see why we bought him today. Looks like he has a lot of potential both defensively and in attack. I thought he was OK, dealt well enough with the direct stuff anyways
Aiston
Did alright part from his fuck that nearly cost us.
Altamullan
He'll certainly remember his first goal. The scarring form the seven stitches in his mouth will help.
themanupstairs
Idiotic red aside, I thought he looked much much better for us at the back when he came on. Seems to be growing in confidence. He's a massive unit, and I hope he can continue to improve.
TRon
He's got potential, but what we really need at the back in a relegation scrap is experience and character. Keegan recognised this in his first stint at Newcastle when he brought in Killer Kilcline to save us from relegation to the 3rd division.
Guest
Was like watching Bramble the way he cocked up his clearance then fouled him. I think he's a decent 4th choice, has some decent attributes which might improve in time. Could be valuable next season if we drop.
St1pe
It's the second time this season he's been due a run in the first team and then something has happened and he missed out. Last time he got injured and now he got himself suspended. We could have done with him against WBA because his aerially ability is probably the strongest we have. Lush Vlad
Good in the tackle, strong as fuck, tries to organise and lead. But my word, he turns like a cruise liner and he makes some very odd decisions. He went forward with the ball, lost it and then ambled back, on about three or four occasions. One for the future or next season in the Championship.
The College Dropout
Good in the tackle, strong as f***, tries to organise and lead. But my word, he turns like a cruise liner and he makes some very odd decisions. He went forward with the ball, lost it and then ambled back, on about three or four occasions. One for the future or next season in the Championship. Aye. I like the cut of his jib. Played with some urgency. Physical. I liked it. A lot. Then the inexperience showed, the mistake, the turning circle of a tank became apparent again etc. He's the type of CB needed (turning circle/pace notwithstanding) in profile but doesn't have the head for it yet. AyeDubbleYoo
I like this lad, have to say. The sending off was one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen though.
Conjo
Red card was pure frustration. Played excellently imo before that. Took charge of the game and tried to push us forward. Showed more captain material than Colo did.
Fenham Mag
I think he's terrible.
Wallsendmag
He'll be fine in the Championship next season. No worries on that score.

durhamunigeordie
Far from the finished article at this level, but has potential. Is big and uses his size to his advantage. Also looks to be a leader/communicator on the pitch. Think he has a long way to go before he can be regarded as a solid PL defender, and it may be that he never quite gets there, but got to be given some time and the opportunity to develop. Remember reading (pre-Xmas I think it was) that the coaching staff had been impressed by how quickly he had developed in his first couple of months. If he continues to progress at a similar rate for 18 months then who knows.
Sho Time
Stupid. Clumsy. Shite. I see absolutely nothing to suggest he could ever mature into even a half-decent PL defender.
