Love how this lad decided to step up and be a leader in the squad, great attitude.

He did that when we were in trouble last season which shows you his character, you contrast that to Colo and others in the same situation. With effort and dedication Jamaal with Rafa's guidance become a top centre back, then by god what a proper player we have. And the player we've been missing at centre back for a long time now.

yeah, but can the boy write a letter? we'll wait and see.

Oh god, letters

Refreshing to see a young player taking his career seriously and who clearly self-reflects in order to improve.

He's grabbing his shot at professional football with both hands as he's smart enough to realise that you only get one shot at it and have to make the most out of it.

Impressive, indeed. Good luck to him.

  • 2 weeks later...

A little kid ran onto the pitch at FT. A steward chased him, Lascelles came running over to have a friendly word to the kid to tell him not to be silly and to make sure he got to see a player up close. This guy just gets it.

Hope you learned your lesson about not running onto the pitch.

Leave the poor lad alone, he just wanted to check if the grass was real or AstroTurf.

He was more than likely looking for a shelter under the pitch.

In one way it's a good thing that he's playing in the championship, I think he was on the verge of turning a few heads last season. Hopefully he'll remain out of sight, out of mind as far as leeching premier clubs are concerned. Especially those led by silver haired dancing pillocks.

100% for me, there's no other strong enough option anyway.

Deserves it, he's really impressed me.  Think he's gonna be an important player for us for years to come.

Just think how much hes improved over a short period of time under a proper manager, could really be something special given a couple of seasons.

Definitely should be captain, he spoke up when it was needed and he's really forced himself to the forefront. Young, but sometimes a young captain can embarrass the more experienced players into trying harder.
