bobbydazzla
By the time he’s fit to play again he’ll only have a few months left on his contract
Abacus
I'm thinking our medical team should stop checking reflexes by hitting players' knees with hammers. But, bad luck Jamaal, you surprised me with how good you were when needed this season.
nemtizz
Before he got injured I was hoping we'd re-sign him. Unless he wanted to leave he's the perfect backup.

Sneaky. In my post I said "mid december" (but I meant from the Everton game and onwards). We did well in the first few games with lots of injuries at the end of november and start of december. After that, it's been bad. Understandably so, but you can't convince people that we've somehow done really well despite inuries. We just haven't, I think we've actually underperformed a little since that Man United game with the players that we've had available. Here is the real table after Pope injury. "Only 6 points" above relegation, and 9 points behind 6th. "Only 3-4 points" behind us there is Palace, Everton, Luton and Forest. timeEd32
Coming into this thread to find Phil Rivers discussion Some people tear their ACL and go down like they've been shot. You know instantly they are gone for a year. Others get up, walk around, go to the locker room, and then you find out the next day you won't see them for a year. There's really nothing from this specific incident to hit the medical team with.

nufcjmc
No offence but please don't offer him another extension happy with his service to the team but get him fit and see him gone.
Joelinton7
Strangely quiet on this guy. He was pencilled in to return around the same time as Botman, they had similar injuries, at roundabout the same time but not heard anything of him back in training etc. or indeed any news of a setback. Need him back now we’re a body less with Lelli Kelly leaving.

Not a setback as such, I inferred it to mean he's taking longer to hit his "return to play" markers than Sven did.

54
His little touchline antics at the Emirates a few years back are what started and fostered this rivalry with Arsenal, and all the subsequent needle that's come along with it.

Jordan
Great touch from Tripps and Bruno to ensure he had a hand on trophy first.
Newcastle Fan
Absolute class that they gave him credit, he was there when we were in the championship and he was there when we were in the champions league, and now he's seen us lift a trophy.
Pilko
There's a bunch of pre-takeover lads who really deserve the trophy win for their contributions both before and after Eddie came in but he's probably right at the top of the list. He was the young lad who tried to take it by the scruff of the neck when nobody else would, captained us back into the Premier League, helped us consolidate and get the new era underway, with a colossal game against PSG at home for good measure. Inevitably he'll move on in the summer but I really hope he gets at least a cameo at SJP before he goes on his way, he deserves the appreciation of the crowd one more time. He'll not be remembered amongst our best ever players in years to come but for sure will go down as a very important figure in the recent era. So glad he got to lift that trophy. Sibierski
Anyone know when he's due back? Because he may be needed more than just a cameo in this final run. Can still have a big part to play in securing UCL again.
AyeDubbleYoo
Always say he's a better CB than people sometimes give him credit for. And a leader. Great to see him involved in the presentation.
The College Dropout
Love that Bruno called him over and loved that Lascelles got to lift the trophy as well. His arch is complete. Thanks for everything Jamaal.

Superior Acuña
It was great that a Pardew-era signing got to lift the cup. Felt like the king himself was there with us. Edited March 18 by Superior Acuña
